3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber bottle. Pours a light amber with a thin white head. Very aromatic - notes of pine and citrus. moderate-to-light carbonation. Taste: Moderate hop bitterness, notes of citrus and pine, warms to a heavy malt body, some slight sweetness. Finishes to a grassy hop bitterness. Balance is good, a tad more to the hop end than to the malt end. This is quite good, a fine example of an imperial IPA.
Taste of a 2016 Calgary Beer Fest. Strong hop flavor, light slightly red color. MissAnthropic (68) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 15, 2016
UPDATED: APR 15, 2016 Beautiful copper pour with thin head. Nose of fresh field flowers and honey, backed by the bite of citrus and hops. They appear more on the palate, but are clean and crisp with a background of bitter than clears out quickly. There?s cream and orchard apples. It?s really a great and drinkable glass, one of the better of the series. mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 17, 2015
On tap at Sugarbowl, pours a clear golden copper with a medium white head. Nose brings out lots of herbal hops, cereal malts, and feet. Flavour is quite clean, with herbal hops, feet, and cereal malt. Odd flavours but I’m quite enjoying this. Unique and balanced, with a dry palate. Great stuff. UXO (1896) - CANADA - APR 15, 2015
Pours clear pale amber with two fingers of loose rocky white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Nose is pithy grapefruit, resin, caramel malt, floral, catty. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (3/5)
Somewhat of a one-trick pony: sharp, though not excessively so, and nowhere near as catty as I was expecting for Simcoe single-hopping. A little less rich and complex as the White Dragon (Chinook) but not bad overall. (12/20)

Clear golden, aroma is simcoe but it super light. Crystal malt and easy too little simcoe, not sure how you make this so boring but here we are AgentAle (1808) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 5, 2015
Aroma is earthy, clove, lemon grass and crystal malts. Honey and caramel on the nose. Taste is a medium deep malt body with a fairly well balanced hop profile. For 75 ibus it is very smooth. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains ok. MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 23, 2015
I look forward to Alley Kat’s Dragon Series because they are always excellent. This one has the typical clear golden pour with a nice foamy head. I haven’t had many IPAs single hopped with simcoe so this was a treat. Has subdued citrus hop flavours and a lovely grassy bitterness. Awesome! andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2013
Dragon night! Pours a clear amber with a small sticky white head that lasts and leaves small traces of lace up the glass. Aroma is fruity, citrus, and a bit perfumey. Taste is grapefruit, perfumey, tropical fruits, mid-high sessionable bitterness and a good malty back bone like most of the Dragon series. Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2013
Pours a clear golden /orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of bread malts, citrus, grapefruit and perfumy hops. Taste is shortbread malts, grapefruit, mango and other tropical fruit. Excellent imperial ipa very sessionable for a double.
