2013-11-09. Crisp dark orange body, large off white head. 3++ Pleasantly spicey aroma, lots of nutmeg I think, sweet malt core. 7+ Smooth average plus bodied palate. Pleasantly sweet malty core, pleasant spice. Very nice stuff, full flavoured yet fairly well balanced. Better than expected! Bottle cellared several months via trade with Ferris

Pours a bright clear amber orange with a moderate foamy head that fades fairly quickly. Delicious, but muted, aromas of gingerbread and nutmeg (best appreciated if you let it warm a bit). Sweet toffee malt up front with a spicey pumpkin pie finish covered in nutmeg and cloves. Almost a tartness to the finish that brings to mind a California common style, which keeps this beer from becoming cloying or too sweet. Light in the body, bordering on thin. Very enjoyable-- a nice fall treat!

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2009 My Bottom Line :
Nutmeg-doused gingerbread men playfully adorn the lightly caramelized cereals of this well-built, easy-drinking novelty brew.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A sheet of foam shrinks to a ring atop the luminous amber-hued red.
-The nose concentrates on spiciness, and thus appears a tad linear; the biscuity cereals tasted could be more prominent in the aroma.
-The prickly carbonation remains smooth throughout.
-The mouthfeel is well fed while never being cumbersome.

Bottle. Thx Mike!!

Bottle thanks to presario. Pours a clear and copper color with a small white head. The aroma is very good; sweet pumpkin, spices, caramel goodness, I can almost smell whip cream in this aroma. The aroma is just perfectly like a pumpkin pie. The flavor is spicy, lots of pumpkin, smooth and easygoing. A perfect example of the style.

[6048-20131109] 650mL bottle. Plasticky cleaner fruity pumpkin aroma. Slightly hazy, orange amber body with a big long-lasting creamy off-white head. Robust pumpkin fruit flavour has a nice pie crust aftertaste. Medium body. Good, great pumpkin brew. (7/4/8/4/15) 3.8

Wasnt sure this would work, especially because Im not a huge pumpkin pie fan but this beer is good. Smells and has a pumpkin pie start, finishes with a touch of bitterness

My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- courtesy of Presario. Pours a clear orange-copper with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma: Yup, thats pumpkin pie alright, along with caramel malt and toffee in the back. Malty, spicy flavour is, surprise surprise, pumpkin pie-ish! Average bodied. Very enjoyable and right on style.

Bottle (341ml). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Clear bright brassy-amber with a smallish off-white creamy head. Aroma of pumpkin, light cream, mildly acidic nutmeg/allspice - it needs a few seconds to open up, though, initially it was quite ... vegetal. Taste - more inital bitterness, plenty of flowery pumpkin spice, but quite a maple sweet character to it in the end - sticky, thin, mildly carbonated .... I liked it!

341mL bottles poured golden-amber color with small white head and virtually no lacing. Aromas are the high point of this beer with pumpkin and nutmeg and cinnamon dominating. Taste is of pumpkin pie spices and some hop bitterness in the finish mixed with more spices. Quite a nicely done beer with a decent balance of flavors.
