Too bad Alley kat quit making all these brands for sherbrooke... This was one the the original greats and crowd favorites! Excellent Aroma of chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and hints of coffee. Taste is pretty much like Neapolitan ice cream with a nice creamy mouthfeel and moderately low sweet finish. Great sweet stout! TracksideBeer (34) - Medicine Hat, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 19, 2011
Wow, what a beer. I didn’t really expect to be able to pick out all the individual flavors but they are certainly there. Chocolate dominates both the aroma and the palette. Right after taking the chocolate plunge a soft vanilla presence comes forward followed by a distinct berry finish. Well done Alley Kat robinvboyer (4736) - Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 28, 2010
Big aromas of cocoa, and vanilla. The strawberry seems to get lost in the shuffle, maybe there are some hints in that there is a subtle tartness in the finish, but mostly this is a vanilla cocoa stout. And a good one at that! desert in a bottle! presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 31, 2010
Bottle. Very dark brown liquid. Vigorous pour gives a thick brown head that settles quickly to a brown skim. Aroma of dusty cocoa and vanilla with a bit of a chemical edge perhaps from the strawberry. Flavour is cocoa and vanilla. Each sip gives a strong taste of the strawberry which sneaks into the group and dominates the aftertaste. Some cocoa bitterness in the finish. Last sip reminds me of the slurry at the bottom of a banana split. Velvety body that would lend itself to putting this beer on tap. A gimmicky beer that seems to work. thb (832) - Alberta, CANADA - AUG 10, 2010
Wow this actually pulls it off. Pours totally black with cappucino head. Serious chocolate aromas. Vanilla throughout gives a nice exotic sweetness to it. Strawberry lingers on the finish. 6.7% alcohol just disappears. On the down side, its a little overwhelmingly sweet and the strawberry tastes a little artificial. Wonderful thick, oily, mouthfeel. This is a gutsy beer and it pulls it off better than I could have imagined.

Pours black with a thick brown head.Strong chocolate aroma. Some notes of coffee. Smells very nice. very smooth and creamy with a very strong chocolate flavour. I get a very mild strawberry in th finish. But in my opinion this is nothing but a chocolate stout with a cool label. It is a very good stout, but it falls very short of its goal of combining vanilla, (which I can not taste but it comes out a little in the aroma) strawberry, and chocolate. Cool idea could have been pulled off better. TimE (6067) - Tokyo, JAPAN - AUG 21, 2010
Vanilla icecream topped with tons of chocolate. Sweet. Malty. Not apologitic on being so over the top sweet. However in a group of ten people on the beach this got a huge tumbs up. Really interesting. VertBaconStrips (2395) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - SEP 18, 2010
This will be better than I find thought. Poured out totally black with a small brown cap that rings out and leaves some spotty lacing. Yummy aroma of vanilla, strawberry, molasses, sweet chocolate, brown sugar. Sweet indeed. Tasty flavours of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla (I’m smart), a very light citrus, almost zero bitterness, maybe a faint coffee at the very end of the taste. Goes back amazingly easy - I can imagine the epic headache I’d get if I drank these all night - oily and velvety. Yummo. Sammy (12600) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 12, 2010
Pours black with a small ring of mocha head. The aroma is magnificient, a great roasting supported by the other flavours. The taste is well balanced roastiness as well, chocolate and strawberry on the tongue. I loved this flavour as a child. A sipper, rich, lace dots.Carbonation right there. Very good stout. Thanks Presario. pintbypint (3763) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 10, 2010
341ml brown bottle. Dark brown colour, holds a short but creamy dark tan head. Moderate sweet strawberry fruit note in the aroma, a bit of roasty chocolate malts. Flavour has chocolate malts up front, fades into light coffee and roasty notes. Slight vanilla extract hint in the finish. Aftertaste is roasty and chocolatey and slightly woody. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel, medium body, soft carbonation. Slight note of alcohol. Interesting mix of flavours,a bit sweet overall, but this is definately a desert type beer. Another interesting Sherbrooke/Alley Kat mash up.
