750 ml bottle poured a clear dark reddish bnrown with a small lasting tan head. Aromas of bakers cocoa, earthiness, graininess and light roasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bakers cocoa, earthiness and light coffee with a smooth lingering bakers cocoa finish. Boutip (6659) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 9, 2014
Bottle: Poured a dark black color porter with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt notes with light residual sugar notes. Taste is also dominated by very pleasant black chocolate notes with limited bitterness notes. Body has a nice creamy texture which is quite full for the style with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This beer is a very enjoyable example of the style. douglas88 (9828) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 14, 2014
Bomber. Pours a jet black color with a medium brown head, looks awesome. A sweet almost nutty nose of caramel, toffee and vanilla. Big dry cocoa, baker’s chocolate, sweet vanilla, fruit, fruitcake, baked dark German rye bread, a bit of fruitier esters like banana. Quite good. jandd1983 (4720) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUL 2, 2014

22oz bottle tasted during RBSG. Mostly clear but very dark brown / red color. Thin khaki head. Ropes and dots of lace. Good dark chocolate, fudge in the nose. Hint of coffee, mild roast. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Moderate bitter, moderate sweet. Pretty impressive, smooth, flavorful porter. hopscotch (11485) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle… RBSG 2014… Dark brown pour with a small, creamy, beige head. Decent retention. The nose is a marriage of dark chocolate chips and a less significant component of crusted port. Full-bodied and ultra-creamy with pillow-soft carbonation. The flavor offers deeply roasted malts, fudge and a small splash of medium sherry. Slight cardboard-like oxidation in the finish. jtclockwork (17769) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle shared by the Canadians at RBSG St. Louis. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of toasted cocoa, vanilla, light roasty coffee. Medium body. crossovert (14233) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2014
650ml beer. Darker ale, other people ripping on oxidation but I got slight mint notes and sherry but its not too oxidized. Frank (4265) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2014
This is brown in the glass, almost black, with a slight head of off-white bubbles. It seems like my sample was aged or just old because it has a good deal of oxidized character, lots of coconuts in the nose especially. It is quite sweet with low carbonation. Tastes mostly of raisins and chocolate with a lingering touch of sweetness in the finish.
