Thanks to Alley kat for getting me into so many beer styles... This isn’t necessarily the best esb I’ve had but it’s a great example of the style with a good caramel malt backbone with a nice grassy hop finish... Great beer! MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - APR 19, 2015
Reviewing from notes. Had a nice mild citrusy profile with some toasty/bready malts. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 1, 2012
Very clear copper tone in my glass with a nice white lace on top. Smells of slight citrus followed by a simply mild flavour with light-medium bitterness that’s gone by the time you swallow. Bendrixian (1514) - Canadiana, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 18, 2012
Clear, overfiltered brew sporting amber colour and little head. Overall, reduced aroma (from overfiltration I pressume) having earthy hoppy aroma, some citrus fruit and toast. Light beer with a hoppy but metallic profile and has a slight roast to it. simple styled brew. DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 18, 2012
Bottle. Clear copper orange, medium off white head. Aroma is equal parts toasty toffee and grassy hops, with floral nuances. Pleasant flavours of lightly toasted biscuity malts and moderately bitter grassy hops, with nuances of orange rind and peanut skin. Very nice session ale.

Single bottle purchased from Zyn Liqour in Calgary, AB on 04/20/2012. Colour: Dark gold with low white lacing. Nose: Vine ripe tomato puree, freshly sharpened HB Pencil, late hop zing and spicy pepper. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium bitter, medium-heavy sour. The tomato comes around again but settles into thick sour corn induced hop bitterness. The finish calms down a bit and a hazy grain drifts long through the finish. Wanted something I could review and drink without much thought and I found it. Poured out a very nice clear copper coloured beer with a small light tan head that goes into a moonscape with sticky lacing. Thick biscuity malt base with sweet stuff and dusty dryness and toasty goodness visited by nose. Fairly rich malt taste with biscuit and toast and caramel sweetness, early to mid taste bitterness, faint citrus that might be orange related, pretty easy to drink. Mild carbs, soft. Decent. patricks110 (2496) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 23, 2012
A really solid session ESB. The pour is a bright copper with hues of redy amber. A thick yellow beige head and some thick and sticky lacing rings. The nose is sweet and toasty with big cereal and caramel malt notes. A floral and grassy hop and nice bitter nose. The taste is really well balanced. Sweet and malty in the middle with caramel, toffee and toast notes. The finish has astringency and floral notes including grass, pine, odd floral things??? and a bit of citrus. Overall, a great balance. gramity (1668) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 20, 2012
Nice dark amber with a sticky white head. Plenty of lacing on my pint. Aroma and taste are both biscuity malt, a touch of sweetness, and a nice finish from the hops. The description says floral hops but I think they are a bit more earthy. Pretty good ESB and is definitely, as promised, a session beer. presario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 15, 2012
Bottle. Very English in style. Reminds me of a spicy London Pride or Marston’s Pedigree. Dark amber. Average head and light lacing. Bready caramel malt and spicy hops.
