bottle - pours light amber with a very small fizzy off-white head that dissipates almost immediately. At first the aroma is corny and sweet like an asian lager then as the beer warms it becomes maltier and less corny. The taste is rather sweet initially, there is the tiniest hint of caramel and the finish is dry and slightly bitter. I wasn’t impressed, there is certainly worse out there........but there is certainly a lot better too.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2017 Pours clear and amber with a minimal white head. Looks inviting. The aroma contains lots of malts, red fruits, some caramel and toffee. It tastes medium sweet and light sour. Soft carbonation and medium body. Very nice.

Bottle from Italmark supermarket, Valeggio Sul Mincio, Italy. Amber coloured with a thin white head, malty, toffee and red fruity flavours followed by a smooth, rich warming fruity finish. Pretty good.

Bottle 09.15 from Italy. Aroma of yeast, caramel and honey. Red, dark amber coloured beer. Two fingered head, small bubbled, reduces to flat, off-white colour. Not bad lacing. Medium sweetness in taste, reminds flowers, toffee, caramel and biscuit. Full bodied beer, oily and creamy with low bitterness. Little sourness in aftertaste. Carbonation is very soft and nice. Alcohol is well camouflaged. Nice beer in classic style.

Kauge (1928) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 16, 2015
Bottle from a pizzeria in Mazzano Romano (€ 4.50). BB 06.16. Caramel / copper colour, clear, with a rather big light beige head. Retention and lacing ok. Straw and cereals on the nose, sweet, papery, also home-made apple juice and canned peaches. Caramel, nuts. I’m having mixed feelings. Tastes sweet, caramel and canned fruits, nutty, with a tiny - and rather nice - tingle of alcohol and bitterness in the finish. Nearing bandaid-y. Watery, slightly metallic. Carbonation soft, body light to medium. Not sure what to think of it.
