COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Every great city has its wild side, and in 19th century boomtown San Francisco, that was the Barbary Coast. All manner of debauchery ran unchecked here for decades. But from this chaotic cauldron emerged San Francisco’s vibrant jazz culture and a rich legacy of poets, artists, writers and entertainers.

Inspired by this creative tradition, this decadent imperial stout was brewed with oak staves, vanilla, sea salt, a hint of spicy chili and Dandelion Chocolate cacao nibs. Pair with rich chocolate cake and a flair for adventure! Imperial Stout Brewed With Cacao Nibs, Chili Pepper, Oak, and Sea Salt, 10% ABV

Not typical, but quite fancy IMP stout. Smooth, subtle roast with just right amount of warming chili, pleasant cocoa, truffle, vanila. Moderate sweetness with moderate bitterness, that light saltiness fits well as a cake feature.

Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Rich malt and light molasses aroma. Toffee and rich malt flavor with molasses. Medium-plus bodied. Molasses and rich malt lingers.

Pitch blak with small beige head. Nose is dark coffee, chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, chilli. Taste is bittersweet with a lot of coffee and cocoa upfront and a delicate chilly burn towards the end. Lingering coffee-like aftertate. Well rounded, maybe lacks a bit of body. Average carbonation, oily texture.

Can from Healthy Spirits - Castro, San Francisco. Aroma is strong coffee, dark malt, cacao nibs, vanilla, coffee grounds, milk chocolate, espresso beans, hint of chili pepper. Flavour is sweet with a very little chili burn. Body is medium to full. Very tasty coffee and cocoa heavy Imperial Stout, sweet and rich stuff.

appearance: deep brown, thick creamy tan head that looked almost like chocolate mousse. aroma: hugely full of espresso, molasses, dark chocolate. taste: sweet, chewy molasses, dark chocolate, toasted black bread, huge undertone of chocolate covered espresso beans. finish: lingering chewy dark malts, with some coffee acidity. notes: Big coffee stout, although the alcohol was well-hidden. On the sweet side, with just a bit too much acidity from the coffee for me. Can from House of Brews in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.

Bottle. Pours opaque hickory, small tan head decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, cocoa, anise, vanilla. Flavor is light plus sweet, medium bitter; not getting peppers or salt, unfortunatel. I do get a bit of oak tannin and a fair bit of vanilla. Medium plus body. Good.

Dåse: Sort meget let olieret øl med et lille skumhoved. Duften er sødlig chokolade vanilie. Dessert. Tydelig en stor dessert stout, men for endimensionel sød. Smagen er sød med sød på. Fint umiddelbart men intet humlebid til at give sødmen et los bag i. Ok øl men ikke mere.
