Appearance was clear opaque with mocha diminishing creamy tiny head, no lacing. Aromas are vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar, soft cherry with sherry sweetness and touch of alcohol. Taste are vanilla, sherry sweet malts upfront then gives way to smooth bourbon mid sip. The finish is plum, date, cherry, slight Vicks 44 with a touch of alcohol. Overall a stellar blend of stout and Belgian beauty. Errl (2577) - Plano, Texas, USA - AUG 23, 2015

Bottle thanks to ygtbsm94 shared at Anchorage Feb ’15 Tasting: Poured almost black with an off white to tan color head. Aroma was sweet stick dark fruit raisin and fig, caramel malts, vanilla, and bourbon. Taste ends up with a boozy dark fruit dominance with some sweet caramel and vanilla presence. Tasted on3/24/15 from a capped 375mL bottle purchased at Ales Unlimited. Pours very dark, opaque dark brown with a very thick tan head that slowly recedes to thick, rocky lace. The nose is a nice blend of some typical coffee and dark chocolate stout, interesting, almost fruity Belgian yeast, and some lightly smokey bourbon barrel char and toffee/maple. The flavor is a touch of milk chocolate and maple sweetness up front, moving to the somewhat spicy yeast, just a touch of lightly smoked char, with some vanilla and coffee throughout. The body is full with just a touch above average carbonation, and a long nicely oaky, touch of bitter, coffee and dark chocolate, and lightly fruity yeast finish. nuplastikk (6475) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2015
375ml bottle. Bourbon caramel deep aroma. Brown-black body. Creamy beige head. Almost some deep prune. I get more Belgian Dark than Imperial Stout. Pretty smooth and easy, the initial aroma had me thinking otherwise. Smooth brown chocolate, bourbon candy. Good. czar (9501) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2015
