It’s darkness attracts me
It’s taste enlights thee
Can’t drink much more
I’m already on the floor...

Awesome to say least. Bottle share looked like 22 oz bottle neat colorful label. Poured translucent brown with red tint. Small head light carbonation perfect palate. Taste of light brown sugar oak some tangie and real nice sherry notes. Finished like a nice sherry with some maltiness. Great. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - JUN 12, 2013
So dark the room light could not penetrate it. The chocolate tarty fruity smell is a perfect combination. The smell transitions to taste almost perfectly. The thick rich mouth feel rinses softly with the tart finish, but still leaving a light lasting deliciousness behind.

M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy with a sweet, roasted, and warming finish.
D - Fantastic balance and complexity. Spot on. Cory (372) - , California, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Bottle. Tan head, dark dark brown color. Aroma is apple, raisin, and roasted malts. Thick creamy and oily body, long bitter and sweet finish with the bitter oil left on your tongue. Very enjoyable and nice ale, surprisingly sweet but really nicely balanced. I am very impressed with this beer.

Firstly, I’d say this is definitely more of an American stout than any of the other styles.
It’s super clean. Lovely barrel-aging. Cedar on aroma. Lots of German licorice. Chocolate. Velvet is smooth. Oak. Wood resin. Chocolate gateax and oak chips. Really silly drinkable for the abv. The mellowness is astounding. This is an extremely well-made beer with absolutely no defects. Excellent job! badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Bottle. Black with a creamy off white head. Really nice bourbon, chocolate, caramel and vanilla aroma. Thick creamy and soft palate. Rich chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and caramel taste with an oaky and chalky chocolate finish. Very good. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Absolutely beautiful and complex stout-centric hybrid from start to finish. Pours essentially black with an off-white head. Dark fruit aroma, with hints of bourbon. Taste is a solid chocolate and coffee base. But there are layers of flavor. Dark fruit. Some spice. Bourbon on the top. Everything lingers in a melodic symphony. I have one more bottle, and this is the first beer I am really looking forward to aging.

375ml bottle, pours black with lacing. Malty chocolate nose with some bourbon in the background. Smooth and silky chocolate with well blended sweet malts, some vanilla in the background. Hides the alcohol. Nice finish with the flavors hanging in there. Very Good! GenDV138 (7467) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
