Bottle from Blackwell’s shared with Max. Pours a clear amber body with not much head, some minor lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, light grass and grain. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of grain and caramel reigning overall any semblance of a hop profile. Maybe old? Atheist_Peace (1042) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - SEP 26, 2012
On tap. Pours gold with a hint of amber. Average head. Lots of lace. Has a Belgian yeast nose more than anything. Some earthier hop notes. I want to say there’s a hint of smoke too. A little citrus holiness on the palate but it feels more Belgian than anything again. Quite a sweet burst up front. Lacks any depth in the finish. There’s a quick bitterness and then it’s gone. On tap at City beer. Pours with a clear golden hued body with a small white head. Aromas are odd, grainy, popcorn, peanut butter. Floral hop aromas, tea like. Flavors are floral, nutty, grainy, grassy, resiny. Lively bubbles dry finish, low bodied. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - SEP 12, 2012
On draft at the Livermore Saloon. It pours a very clear light gold color with a disappearing white head. The aroma is super, ultra grassy... kind of like fresh cut wet grass... earthy, woody, slightly piney. The flavor is very floral with some perfume. Shockingly different from the aroma. Hints of grain. It has a nice bitter finish. Weird and interesting in a good way. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - AUG 30, 2012
Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Light grain adn light hop aroma. Butter and light grain flavor with light hops. Medium bodied. Crisp finish. Butter and grain lingers with light hops.
