COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Stout brewed with Coffee, Cocoa Nibs, Vanilla Beans, Chili Peppers, Sea Salt and Oak.

Every great city has its wild side, and in 19th century San Francisco, that was the Barbary Coast. From this chaotic cauldron emerged San Francisco’s vibrant jazz culture and a rich legacy of poets, artists, writers, and entertainers. Inspired by this creative tradition, this decadent imperial stout was brewed with oak staves, sea salt, a hint of spicy chili, Dandelion Chocolate’s cacao nibs and Sightglass Coffee. Pair with rich chocolate cake and a flair for adventure!

A 16 fl oz can, canned on 13th December 2016. Poured into a snifter. It was black in colour with a very thin brown head that dissipated quickly and left sparse to no lacing. Aromas of light dark fruit followed by milk chocolate, roasty coffee and vanilla with perhaps some light spice. Tastes of milk chocolate, cacao and coffee with a hint of chili pepper spiciness and salt. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied with moderate to low carbonation. Overall very nice flavours of chocolate and coffee which was well balanced with chili and salt.

Aroma is slightly on the mild side but I do pick up roast malt a little coffee and cocoa. Average appearance with a small short-lived head no lace and black or pink beer. Flavor is the best part that is similar to nose with a thick texture slightly on the sweet side coffee comes out more. It's fairly decent nice finish. Drinkable.

From notes. Had this one at the 2018 Brew Crew Bash at Benny’s house on August 12. 16 oz can. The pour is a nice darker black with a good thin cap of khaki colored head and a couple spots of lace as it falls down. The aroma is pretty good. There is a nice coffee roast and a very dry chocolate. There is a bit of booze, but it works pretty well. The flavor definitely falls apart. This is super hoppy and alcohol forward. There is a light chocolate and coffee backing it up, but it’s an American stout mess. The mouth feel is medium bodied and softly carbonated with a strong alcohol on the back end and a very dry roasty chocolate and hop. This is a strange mixture, but I don’t like the American aspect to it. 7 4 6 4 14

Can. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, cocoa, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and cocoa, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.
