A very nice dry Tripel. Pours a bright yellow with a thick white head. Smells amazing, citrus, tropical fruit and a bit of herbs. Taste is quite dry, and balanced. Lots of citrus, and a slightly. Not quite as flavorful as the smell suggests, but quite nice overall. Had on tap at IBUs.

Bottle, 650 ml from Beergium. Shared with rest at the grand tasting 11/2016. Pours cloudy yellow with medium creamy white head. Nice fruity aroma, apricots all over, moderate hoppiness, some yeast, malty. Light to moderate sweetness, some bitterness in finish. Creamy texture. Medium bodied.

Treated as a Belgian pale ale, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a brisk golden yellow color with a carbonation rising at a moderate pace to fill a one finger white foamy head that died off ever so slowly to fill small valleys here and there. Ringed messy lacing ran here and there.
The aroma leaned towards the IPA/DIPA side of the wheelhouse with some white pepper and a sweet lemon pulp and then some light apricots. Grassy sweet hops tickle some white grapes with a fresh oily scent to it. Light pine at the end.
The flavor blends white grapes, the apricots and lemon pulp to the grassy sweet hops nicely. Pine is starting to becomes slightly stronger. Hop oils are becoming stronger too. Strong hop oily aftertaste with a dry white grape finish, but not vinous.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a medium carbonation, acceptable. Mild dryness seems inviting to the bitter hoppy portion over my tongue. Feels pretty good.
Overall, nice Belgian pale ale, but this isn’t a tripel and oddly enough Almanac doesn’t even say that on their bottle, what the what, hmmmmm..... Headbanger (4020) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 2, 2016
22oz bottle 12/2/16 (Binny’s Plainfield)-42° in Trappist Glass-Pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, floral, and hops. Taste of the same with a bit more hops and caramel on the back end. this full bodied brew is pretty darn tasty.
