Typical Saison aroma of Belgian yeast, spice with notes of honey. Great looking beer cloudy orange color with a thick lasting white head. Tastes of spice, lemons and Belgian yeast. Dry chalky feel with an earthy finish. Lothore (649) - California, USA - JUN 15, 2014
Enjoyed a glass on tap at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. Reviewed from notes written on a cocktail napkin.
A- Pours a deep orangey tangerine hue with a small, frothy, off white head that leaves foamy lacing as it goes down.
S- Honey, Belgian yeast, apricot, green apple
T- Honey, belgian yeast, apricot, peach, banana, light grassy notes, clean finish.
M- Medium bodied with ample carbonation.
D- Extremely drinkable, delicious, saison that has lots of complexity while still being well rounded and having a clean, appealing finish that leads you to take sip after sip. Well done. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - FEB 22, 2013
Fairmont Hotel honey saison is made locally by Almanac Brewing with honey harvested from the roof top of the hotel, which is pretty cool. Strong and apropos honey notes in aroma and flavor. Lightly carbonated and unfiltered. A very nice slightly sweet saison flavor with just a hint of spice at the backend. Quite good, very fresh, and recommended!
