Bottle @ home, via trade with bytemesis. Thanks Mike! Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Actually somewhat cheesy, quite funky, red grape, plum, basement aroma. Plum, big red grape, somewhat oaky, red wine, quite funky, moderately tart flavor. One of the best grape sours that I’ve had in quite a while. blomster (289) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 26, 2013
Bottle. A great, balanced sour. Wish I had case or two to sample over the next few years. mcberko (17809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 18, 2014
12 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot, Dany), pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is heavy on the grapes, with lots of grape must, grape juice, and light notice of the wine barrels. Flavour is complex, wild and dry, with very dry grape must, grape skins, and peaches, accentuated beautifully by the wine barrels, making this dry and biting. Quite wild, though I don’t think there is any brett or other such critters in here. Excellent stuff. tom10101 (6082) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 19, 2015
Bottle (375 ml) shared with the Quebec crew. From Vahe, thanks!

Appearance: Slightly hazy bright golden with a small white head and little lacing.
Aroma: Oh that’s interesting! Bright plums and grapes carried by brettanomyces along white wine, must, oak and light minerality.
Taste: Grapes are dominants here, but there’s still some bright plums with brettanomyces, moderate acidity, winey notes, oak and mineral notes.
Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. A bit winey mouthfeel. Dry and grape-y finish.
Overall: Superb fruited sour with a bright grape presence, good balance, nice complexity and a barrel treatment that isn’t overwhelming but definitely add to the beer. I loved it.
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours hazy/cloudy bright golden with a reviving off-white cap, some retention and lacing. spicy and cheesy berries, leathery bretts, bitter peel, spicy dill, bit of buttery barrels, lightly tannic woodsy notes, pepper. lively to average carbonation, light body - slightly watery; dry, lightly astringent, tart and tasy winey finish. good grapey tart barrel-aged concoction. anstei (2246) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - FEB 15, 2017
At the brewpub. Pours murky orange. Lots of farmhouse, stables and funk, then grapes and wine barrels. The stink wins though. Medium body, lightly acidic and pleasantly tart, with a soft but lively carbonation leading into a dry but grape-filled palate. Great balance of the different components, highly enjoyable with a full taste without ever being tiring. A blast. Hopped_Silly (418) - California, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Draft release for SF Beer Week.. Solid. More sweet red fruit nuances then the Reserve #2. Tart red fruit, likely influence if the Pinot Noir barrel. I think it might be a bit fuller bodied then #2 also. A solid release from Almanac.

Bottle at home with my wife courtesy of Felipe. Big thanks for this one man! Pour is hazy, bright orange with a small white head that quickly dissipated and great lacing. Big funky aroma - cheesy, waxy, cat urine - lemon peel, lactic acid, a hint of vanilla, wood, and grapefruit juice. Taste is funky, basement, lemon zest, pears, green apples, white wine, oak, somewhat musty, a hint of cinnamon, and cranberries with a big sour finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Very gueuze-like and acetic, although, not overly sour. Nice beer. jredmond (8283) - New York, New York, USA - APR 20, 2013
Bottle courtesy of Adam (burg). Thanks man. Pours a hazy murky orange creme body with light fizzy white lacing. Aroma at first seems fecal, but then turns straight to 5 year aged Gouda - super cheesy. Mouthfeel is medium to light with notes of tart fruit, cheese, light sour funk.
