Craft Clerkenwell tasting. Thanks to Aaron. Light haze on this gold beer, little pale cream coloured head. Light dry crisp palate. Lovely lemon, tart but never acidic. Finishes with a touch of herb and sherbet. Light dry lemony finish. Nice.
Draft at Stone Sour Fest 2013. Pours a golden color, with a white head. Lots of citrus zest, sour lemons, notes of orange, lactic acid, and some oak. woperini (17) - - JUL 9, 2013
Hint of sour, some barrel flavor and some citrus zest from the hand of Buddha. An easy to drink mild sour. Very approachable. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUL 4, 2013
Bottle in Eagle with my wife. Pour is hazy lemon with a small white head that quickly dissipated. Big lemon, lightly funky, urine, ginger, citric acid, white grapes, straw, somewhat floral, and oaky aroma. Taste is bright citrus, ginger, funky, urine, tangy, pears, green apples, hay, and orange peel with a medium sour finish. Light body with high carbonation. Pretty nice sour. Bottle thanks to bird_machine ! Pours a spritzy golden yellow with a finger or so of white fizzy foam. Beautiful citrus notes with nice vinous barrel notes and funk. Great fizzy mouthfeel with a juicy flavor profile that is balanced by touches of brett and a nice round cheerio malt background. Really enjoyable !

Bottle to glass. Pours a slightly hazy light golden orange with a moderate fizzy off-white head. Aroma is a strong sour citrus character, with lemon, orange, and sour grape notes mixed with a wild earthy yeast smell. Flavor is quite sour, but not overpowering. Heavy sour grape character. Body is oily with a lingering sour on the back of the tongue. Pretty tasty. popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Pours a pale yellow. Very light in color. Mild haze, but it might have just been a good pour. Small white head, somewhat rocky. Decent retention and a tiny bit of lacing. The aroma is dominated by spicy citrus. The citron comes through strong, and you get a heavy dose of that citrus rind flavor. It’s such a sharp note that it reminds of the fresh ginger in Farmer’s Reserve #2. The Cara Cara oranges come through as well with that berry-ish orange flavor. The Meyer lemon is a bit more in the background, but it’s there if you look for it. The flavor just seems a tad delicate against the citron and Cara Cara. There’s a definite lactic sourness in the mix, as well. Some mild funk. No real malt presence. The taste is a blend of sourness, funk and citrus. Very nice combination. There’s a touch of cheesiness to the funk, particularly in the finish, but otherwise, this is the cleanest of the Farmer’s Reserve series, so far. Bright, refreshing sour citrus flavor. Some more of that spicy rind flavor, but more of the Meyer and Cara Cara delicacy shines through in the taste. Lasting lemon, orange, berry finish with some firm acidic sourness. Very light malt that’s kept well in the background. Mouthfeel is light and lively. This is really good stuff. It’s great to see Almanac improve with this line of sours, and it’s even better to see them improve within the line. I’m very much looking forward to more. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 29, 2013
Lemon pledge nose, lemon lime
Gatorade. Tart, smooth, drinkable. Good, yet worst of the Farmer's Almanacs I've had so far. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2013
Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a medium white head...nice color, nice retention. Aroma has nice fresh citrus...orange and lemon...with nice accents of bretty funk and citrus rind...very refreshing! Flavor has sour orange...puckering...followed by lemon creeping in...nice and tart. Mouthfeel is light and silky with a nice tart/rindy/grassy citrus finish that has a hint of vanilla. Gorgeous beer! daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 27, 2013
Kick ass beer. Oh yeah. Sparkling gold with a nice white head. Perfect lactic sourness, perfect amounts of unique citrus character, carbonation is spot on. This beer really is awesome.
