COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmer’s Reserve Grand Cru is an ode to our favorite aromatic white wines. We combined California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes with an imperial version of our Farmer’s Reserve sour blonde base and aged them for over a year in French oak barrels.

The result is a deeply fragrant hybrid that captures the Northern California terroir and seamlessly melds the complex tartness of a Belgian-inspired sour ale with the sun-ripened boldness of white wine grapes. Serve this very limited release alongside fresh, raw oysters and pair with celebratory toasts.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is Chardonnay, muscat grapes, oak, medium cracker malt, and light sulfur. Flavor is light sulfur Chardonnay, muscat grapes, oak, medium cracker malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. This is nearly a carbonated Chardonnay.

Bottle. Pours clear golden, medium off white head, dissipates with nice residual and lacing. Aroma is white grapes, must, lemon, oak, a bit of barnyard. Flavor is light tart, medium funk, lots of musty basement, loads of white grape and musty skins. Very low on acetone or other acidic bite. Medium body. A bit of heat from the abv, especially in the far finish. Very nice grape sour.

Hazy yellow orange in color... Aroma is fantastic, lots of passion fruit and pineapple on the nose... Flavor has notes of Muscat grapes, Sauvignon blanc acidity up front, some underripe peaches, nectarines, with a dry, oaky finish... White wine on palate... Exceedingly complex and well executed ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy golden yellow from the bomber with thin ring of bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of funky grape must, a hint of lactic acidity, and sweet tannins. Taste is sweet white grape up front, funky sour middle, and a nice smooth ending. Bubbly effervescence, booze is incredibly well hidden, perfect balance. Almost like a sour beer meets white wine, amazing.

Cloudy dandelion yellow with a thin head of white. Brilliant nose -- pineapple, peach, Brett funk, green apple in that order but in fairly equal proportion. Flavor starts with a hit of barnyard and hay before the mild fruits arrive; pear again, and apple. The swallow is a waterfall of fresh pineapple juice with mild acidity -- the perfect level. Well-developed flavor and complexity, surprising balance. An incredible beer.

Bottle @ Thanksgiving. Hazed pale straw colored beer with white foam. Has a bit of alcohol to it right away that I don’t really care for, but otherwise I enjoyed it...very white wine/champagne like. Tart green grape, unripe melon, berries, and some citrus peel. Hints of stone fruit add a subtle sweetness, but mostly more fruit driven acidity. Maybe becomes a little bit much as it warms, but good anyway.
