COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmer’s Reserve Grand Cru is an ode to our favorite aromatic white wines. We combined California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes with an imperial version of our Farmer’s Reserve sour blonde base and aged them for over a year in French oak barrels.

The result is a deeply fragrant hybrid that captures the Northern California terroir and seamlessly melds the complex tartness of a Belgian-inspired sour ale with the sun-ripened boldness of white wine grapes. Serve this very limited release alongside fresh, raw oysters and pair with celebratory toasts.

750ml bottle. Hazy golden with a white head. Vinous, grapes, funky, tart, citrus, and some fruitiness. Alcohol content well hidden.

Bottle @ Thanksgiving. Hazed pale straw colored beer with white foam. Has a bit of alcohol to it right away that I don’t really care for, but otherwise I enjoyed it...very white wine/champagne like. Tart green grape, unripe melon, berries, and some citrus peel. Hints of stone fruit add a subtle sweetness, but mostly more fruit driven acidity. Maybe becomes a little bit much as it warms, but good anyway.

Pours a hazy bright golden with a little ring of white micro bubbles. Nose is nice tropical hops, canned pineapple, white mine musk and barrel notes. Mouldery and musty and sour. Fully body with a thick palate. Heavyish mf. Tart up front to a malty finish. Taste is musty mouldery white wine tropical fruits and tropical hops. Wine must, barrel notes, barnyard. A bit muddled and too sweet.

Grapes and wine in a pleasant way, but still a little more than I’d like. Acidic and lightly sweet, with lemony sour and a lactic quality. Good, but a one timer for that much coin.

Pours a deep yellow hue with a fizzy, 2 finger head that fades quickly. Mixed berry, wheat, vinous notes on the nose. Huge white wine flavor all the way through, sour grape, light breads notes, mild bitter notes on the back end. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. This seems like a bit of a miss for me. Really interesting but it just doesn’t come together for me.

Cloudy gold pour, white head. Nice and sour, big bold flavors of wine grapes, lemons, tart funk, nice acidity. Great!

Loght gold, slightly hazy, small white head that leaves some soapy looking remnants. Lightly funky nose with white wine and oak notes. Taste is slightly sour, more white wine, oak, some lemons. Medium body. Really well done.

can not believe that this is so strong. Huge ABV. Tastes like wine, lots of oaky california chardonnay flavors. The carb throws it off and reminds you that this is sort of a beer. Interesting and very tasty.

Smell is general sour and green grapes. Taste is pretty much the same. Medium body, medium carbonation, and very mild foam.
