COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Farmerís Reserve Grand Cru is an ode to our favorite aromatic white wines. We combined California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes with an imperial version of our Farmerís Reserve sour blonde base and aged them for over a year in French oak barrels.

The result is a deeply fragrant hybrid that captures the Northern California terroir and seamlessly melds the complex tartness of a Belgian-inspired sour ale with the sun-ripened boldness of white wine grapes. Serve this very limited release alongside fresh, raw oysters and pair with celebratory toasts.

Bottle @ Thanksgiving. Hazed pale straw colored beer with white foam. Has a bit of alcohol to it right away that I donít really care for, but otherwise I enjoyed it...very white wine/champagne like. Tart green grape, unripe melon, berries, and some citrus peel. Hints of stone fruit add a subtle sweetness, but mostly more fruit driven acidity. Maybe becomes a little bit much as it warms, but good anyway.

Capped 750 from the CostCo in Woodland, CA. Pours translucent gold with a transient white head. Aroma of funk and grapes. Like big white grapes with seeds. It is rather tart, not really sour, and it still reminds me of big white table grapes - like the nice part next to the seeds. The tart makes me think a bit of unsweet orange juice. Some oak astringency too. This is well done. Not noticing any heat. Just excellent.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is Chardonnay, muscat grapes, oak, medium cracker malt, and light sulfur. Flavor is light sulfur Chardonnay, muscat grapes, oak, medium cracker malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. This is nearly a carbonated Chardonnay.

Grapes and wine in a pleasant way, but still a little more than Iíd like. Acidic and lightly sweet, with lemony sour and a lactic quality. Good, but a one timer for that much coin.

Bottle. Hazy medium gold, lively white head. Lemony tart/sour with a pronounced vinous quality and moderate funky character. Warming finish bordering on boozy. Not as well integrated as the Beersalis, but still very enjoyable.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours cloudy blonde with an attractive off-white head and a funky fruit aroma. There is a puckeringly sour white wine and grape flavor with a dry oak finish.

Bottle. Pours with a slightly hazed very pale yellow hued body. Good head formation, white foam, retention succumbs to acidity. Some lace and some mild alcohol legs. Aromas are of french oak, mild alcohol, lots of esters reminiscent of pomme fruit (pear, light apples). Some deeper grape notes as well. Lots of oak lactone and vanilla, mild sulfur. Some light stone fruit notes as it warms. Flavors are fruity, lightly jammy. Esters have some perceived sweet notes. Some apricot. Slight sulfur and tannin towards the finish. Warming after only a few sips. Acid seems a touch malic but works well in the overall balance. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation. Nicely done.
