Bottle from Craft Shack, shared with Paul. Pours a clear golden amber body with light white lacing. Aroma is stale hop, dish water and some bitter pine. Mouthfeel is medium to thin with bright spice, bitter pine and lots of sweet crackery malts. Not sure if this is past its prime, but a big let down considering the rest of Almanac’s portfolio.

Orange brown in color. Spice is the primary note in both the aroma and flavor. Some minor grapefruit notes as well. Nice mixture of viscous and sparkle.

bhensonb (15832) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 4, 2013
Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours dark gold with a white head. Mild cat pee aroma. Med body. Flavor is earthy citrus with some nearly roasted malt. Gets a little leafy and dryly hitter in the finish.

Bottle from Star Grocery, Berkeley. Pours blonde with a transient off-white head and a sharp fruity aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a very bitter dry finish.

brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 21, 2013
Smells earthy as hell. Like a handful of soil. Floral, hoppy, a bit of pine at the end. Gorgeous amber pour leaves a ton of white foamy lace with excellent retention.

Hoppy, no malt base, lingering bitterness. Not my style of IPA, but well made.

Dogbrick (13961) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2013
Pours a hazy ruddy orange color with a medium foamy white head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops, malt and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, earthy malt and fruit. The finish is moderately bitter with a grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Mike! Translucent gold and amber, chunky & soapy eggshell head; decent lacing behind. Aroma is kind of mild... Grass, mild citrus with a small pungency, sizable backing of sweet caramel malt. Taste is nice and bitter up front; hops exhibit a grassy, perfumey, and citrus peel character. Slight white pepper, grapefruit pith finish. Toasty malt, not as sweet on the palate (okay). Wet, oily hop finish. Pretty good stuff.

after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - OCT 7, 2013
Draft at sb. Pours a cloudy dark amber with golden edges. Lots of creamy white head that falls to swirls and loose lace. Oniony nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel with herbal onion overtones. Mild peppery finish.

BEENJAMIN (292) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Single Hop Chinook pours a deep golden with a quickly dissipating head. Aroma is intense pine, citrus, and leafy mint. Flavors are similar with a nice bitter finish, delicious.
