Clear golden with a thin foamy cap, giving off a pleasant nose of light ginger, light funky barrel tartness and a little lemon/lime zest. Crisp and dry flavor with a slightly light-ish body, lots of ginger and lemon/lime zesty citrusy tones, very light sour tartness, and a golden bright and slightly gingerish finish.

Draft 0.15l at Craft & Draft Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 19.06.2016. Taste with Ogi. Pour it clear golden color with medium white head. Aroma ginger really nice even if I dont like ginger so much, some coriander, other herbs as well. Taste nice salty, ginger, light coriander, fizzy carbonation, medium body, nice packed. Good !

Draft at SB. Pours a slightly hazy burnished medium amber with a loose white head that goes away fairly quickly. Soapy, gingery nose--seriously smells like Cascade powder dish soap. Creamy medium body, flabby in spots. Caramel and soap mid palate. Not a success, not up to the usual standard from these guys.

Draft 10 oz pour at Special Brews. Pours a golden yellow color with an active carb and fizz head. Cool ginger, light vicks like aroma. Flavor is a semi dry wheat and grain, slightly tart, slightly salty, soft fruit. Herbal, almost spicy finish. Strange, but not bad.

From tap at Craft & Draft. Lacing, moussy, dense, snow white head, deep golden blonde colour with orangey hue. Aroma is ruined by DMS (cooked cabbage) which just wouldnt go away - covering more elegant aspects of yellow grapefruit, dried ginger, sour yoghurt, coriander seed, lemon peel, green olive. Soft but vivid and agile lemony sourishness, medium carbo, soapy wheat, some metallic hint in the middle, very light coriander, faintly bitterish hops in the finish and after swallowing, a soft saltiness lingers - as can be expected from the style. Interesting idea, but unfortunately not all too well executed: the DMS is too much for me, and the flavor combo could have been better balanced.

Shared with Travlr! Sampled draft @ Craft & Draft. Clear orange, golden, solid creamy white head. Nose is mellow ginger, soap, sugar, lightly salt, mellow smell. Taste is tad weak, watery ginger with mineral components, faint herbal, salt, spices. A bit too mineral & watery, ginger saves it a bit. Okay but I feel like I always have too high expectations with Almanac & they let me down.

Clear as day. Colour is like an orange Jello mould before you let it set. Large, foamy head that dissipates pretty swiftly. Aroma is a boatload of ginger. Taste starts gingery but moves towards sea salt and coriander at the end.

Draft at beertemple. Aroma of sour malt, spices, salt and ginger. Fresh sour taste of spices, ginger, mild subtle salt and a spicey fresh finish. I understand why a lot of people dont like this, but I think its great.
