COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Golden Gate Gose is a special draft-only beer inspired by the classic wheat beer hailing from Leipzig, Germany. Traditionally brewed with salt and coriander, our tart California-inspried version is brewed with San Francisco Bay sea salt, lemon verbena and coriander grown especially for us by Dirty Girl Produce in Santa Cruz, California. Fermented with our house saison yeast, this delicate and tart beer is a perfect summer refresher. Pair with fresh seafood and sunshine.

Clear bright golden hue with a nice foamy white top, giving a lovely slightly citric and limey nose thats gently tart and belgianish golden. Brisk flavor thats full of Belgian golden grains and a little bit of hay with a nice gentle saline kiss and a whisper of sour tones with a semidry mellow slightly fruity finish. Nice and calm but well made.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2017 Tap at monterey bar in Berlin. pours hazy orange. Nose is pineapple, orange, Clementine. Palate is pineapple, most of the acidity comes from it, some honey in the back, a bit watery at the start and the end. Heavy carbonation. Good gose, but a bit one dimensional in the palate, the pineapple is just too pronounced.

Light-med lactic acid with noticeable butyric vomit and sour kraut, combined with light wheat sluty, salty sweetness creates very ripe melons. eh

Blond parelend bier met witte schuimkraag. Geur: appeltjes, cider, licht zoet, licht zuur. Smaak: de aanzet is zout en daarna licht zoet, appel. Medium volmondig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Man, man, precies een gezouten cider.

On tap @ Rattle N Hum. This is a crystal clear looking golden one with a nice big white lasting and lacing head. Smells really inviting and fresh lemonic. Fruity citrus fruits, some green apple and a little sourness. Yeah, an inviting and pleasant aroma. Tastes decent also also. Its thin oily in the mouth and its below average on the carbonation. Lemonade sour at times, a little wood tart also. Old pickled lemons with traces of grass and sour peaches. Easy to drink in the heat but not too much more than that. 21.06.2015

Clear golden and very light copper coloured body with a very fast-dying off-white head, like soda. Aroma of fresh apples, grapes, a bit of citrus, some sea water and a touch of alcohol noticeable as well. Light-bodied; Strong malty flavour at first with apples, pears, cider, yeast and a bit of grass around, showing some salt, a little sour note, but not much else - very mild and subdued throughout. Aftertaste is almost like cider with a thin, but effervescent body with some sourness, a touch of grain and alcohol and fruit - with a smidgen of sourness. Overall, a decent gose at best - not one of the better ones and not really worth trying, especially at the high price tag, that is, even if you can find it! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 14-June-2015 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington a year and a half later on 23-December-2016.
