This is a really nice beer that I’m honestly surprised I enjoyed as much as I did. I’m not the biggest fan of pumpkin beers, but the pumpkin and spice notes in the nose worked really really well. The brandy was present too, and a bit more dominant in the palate than I would’ve liked, making the beer a bit on the sweet and boozy side. Still, a really flavorful and fascinating beer. Excellent texture, looks beautiful in the glass. Ontbeertaster (2362) - Ontario, CANADA - FEB 18, 2014
Bottle, thanks to black ipa, aroma is pumpkin spice, taste is pretty strong, a nice smooth offering. DYCSoccer17 (3691) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 8, 2014
12 ounce bottle purchased at Nugget in Woodland. The aroma on this has a bit of a vanilla character with light pumpkin spice and nutmeg. Definitely not overdone, and quite quaffable. I also get a bit of a minty character, as well as a little ethanol. Moderately hazy orangey-copper body with a medium, fairly strong off-white head present. Starts with light sweet toffee and caramel hints. Some light pumpkin flavors come through in the middle, before a bit of a spicy ginger and minty herbal flavor comes through in the end. Warming throughout, with some definite brandy character late. A really interesting beer. A bit hot, though. Bacterial (2986) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - FEB 7, 2014
Dark amber pour at Beechwood Brewery in Long beach - dark amber pour with a nice white head. Lots of white lacing. Boozy squash and nutmeg nose. Really nice taste - 12% is totally hidden. Malt is strong with this one but it’s also got a nice spice character. Yum. Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2014
375ml bottle. Clear mid-dark amber shade with a slight ring of head. Aroma is hot brandy, caramel and pumpkin spice. The taste reflects the aroma, bringing caramel to the fore. Spices lurk nicely at the edges, while cognac is restrained but helps to tie it all together. Very smooth mouthfeel and the warming combination of spices and alcohol heat as it finishes makes for a great touch. Not as much of a showstopper as I anticipated, but it’s really cohesive and a lovely sipper.

Bottle pours cloudy medium brown with one finger off-white head. Sours fruit aroma. Taste not very sweet with pumpkin and spices. Oaky finish. nice full palate with a pleasant warming although alcohol not that apparent. mcberko (17339) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 22, 2014
12.7 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy murky orange with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out nice pumpkin notes, butterscotch, candied sugar, and pumpkin spices. Flavour is certainly unique, with notes of butterscotch, pumpkin spices, pumpkin puree, and some slight tartness. Very unusual flavours, but it somehow works to a degree. Not my favourite, but I applaud the effort. AdamChandler (4977) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Hazy orange red woody just dark almost right from the barrel haze. Nose is sweet, oaky, cognac with yams and clove. Coriander and brown sugar. madvike (3250) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 20, 2014
Bottle from Tooch4321...thanks Adam! - Pours rosy amber with a foamy light tan head. Nose is cinnamon, allspice, sweet boozy warmth, and bready malt. A bit of pumpkin coming through too. Taste is pumpkin pie, a bit of oak, nice sweet bready malt, and a warming booziness. A little overspiced for my tastes, but still really tasty. Medium bodied with mellow carbonation. Beautiful. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 16, 2014
375ml in a snifter. Pours deep, hazy amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and toffee from the malts, light pumpkin, a little brandy, hints of alcohol, light floral hops, and hints of alcohol. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Smooth texture. A good beer.
