375 ml bottle poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of caramel, clove, cinnamon, pumpkin and light brandy. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, cinnamon, pumpkin, light clove, light brandy and a hint of oak with a smooth lingering spiced caramel finish. BlowOffTube (501) - Michigan, USA - JAN 10, 2014
Pours a dark red rust with an off white head. Aroma of alcohol, bad perfume and pumpkin spices. Big on cinnamon nutmeg and some sweet brandy notes and pumpkin. Caramel and a little dry finish. Medium body and light carbonation. Good. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - JAN 5, 2014
From a bottle.The pour is a orange brown with a white head.Itís a malty boozey beer with pumpkin and nutmeg.Itís ok. Steasy66 (1155) - Minnesota, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Medium brown, yeasty and pumpkin spice aroma. A bit overcarbonated and thin but overall good flavor. Pumpkin spice is there, but not a great barleywine overall. DesertDevil (699) - Arizona, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle. Lovely nose of subtle pie crust, brown sugar, cinnamon, pumpkin flesh, and wax. Slightly occluded dark amber in color with a bubbly ring head. Very odd initial taste of spiced caramel sweetness and a chemical-like sourness. Spoiled green apple, cinnamon, and burnt pastry dough tones pop up. Medium body; very dry, astringent finish. Several beer-geek friends have said they thoroughly enjoyed this beer; I just donít get it. Perhaps I bought a bad bottle.

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some pumpkin and cinnamon notes. The flavor is similar with some strong pumpkin, cinnamon and allspice. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer, but I donít really get any barrel-aged or barleywine notes. Pretty much just tastes like a pumpkin beer to me. MadRobin (2987) - Silver Spring, Alabama, USA - DEC 16, 2013

bottled, reddish amber color with still head, donít think I have had a pumpkin BW before, this was well done with a nice balance of the pumpkin spice to offset the pine and caramel of the barleywine, good sipper TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 10, 2013
375 ml bottle courtesy of a trade on BA. Thanks. Pours a well hazed toasty brownish orange hue. A bit lighter with some copper glow on the edges, orange fire and a darker more hazy middle but certainly not deep and darker. A lively carbonation in the body and small frothy off white head sits atop, dies to a filmy layer and laces small. Aromas are a good dose of pumpkin, a bit carmelized and toasty with some vanilla, gentle oak and mellow spirit, apple brandy comes through a bit tart and tannic, fruity with some decent spiciness, ginger and cinnamon meet some vanilla, toast, and caramel. A bit crusty, toast, and sweet. Nice. Initial shows a firmer body, sweeter caramel and toffee, toast and biscuity malts present some body, depth of malt character. Some toast, oak and gentle spirit. Apple brandy, vanilla as the pie spice elements throw cinnamon and ginger spiciness. Some decent body, sweetness. The blend works well here leaving some body and sweetness, lingering spice, mellow barrel that compliments well without overtaking the beer. A bit warmer and tannic into the backend, the spice and brandy actually are a bit synergistic, giving some character and pizzaz, growing spiciness and barrel, warmth. Lingering oak, spice, toasty malts and cinnamon and ginger. Toast, carmelized malts and some sweetness, gentle warmth. This blend actually has a pretty neat idea behind it, good flow, nice barrel compliment without overtaking the actual base. Flavorful vanilla, apples, and lingering sweeter caramel and biscuity base. Solid stuff. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2013
Bottle courtesy of hamilton23. Cheers, Steve! Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. Nose is big toffee, brandy, pumpkin pie spices, apple brandy, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and a notable absence of booze for a 12% beer. Flavor is similar with caramelized pumpkin, brandy, pumpkin pie spices, toffee, and no booze whatsoever. Lingering brandy and spice into the finish. Delightful barleywine overall.
