On tap. Hazy but lustrous amber red with a thin creamy tan head. Sweet caramel, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, brandy, vanilla and oak aroma and taste with a thick sticky palate. Quite good. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - NOV 13, 2013
On tap at ratebeer Gallery event. Pours dark in color with pumpkin aroma. Taste is like pumpkin spice with toasted malts and dark fruits. Warped_Silver (124) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Aroma of caramel, cereal, pie spices, and slight alcohol. Appearance is amber orange with small, white head. Taste sweet upfront with complex spices and pumpkin, it then transitions into a slight alcohol heat and clean hop flavor. Medium bodied. average carbonation, Long sweet finish with spice. Overall good barley wine and even better pumpkin beer. Could only drink about 5oz, then too much. johnnnniee (4346) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 10, 2013

Orange/Copper color, pumpkin spices, fruit and caramel. Surprisingly good for a pumpkin beer. BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - NOV 9, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 18, 2013 Bottle at Stone beer garden. Pours a deep clear orange with barely any white head and some nice lacing. Aroma of massive pumpkins, caramel malts, vanilla cream, and some nice cinnamon and nutmeg that is there but not overpowering the aroma. Flavor is sweet up front, big pumpkin flavors, caramel malts, some cinnamon and nutmeg spice on the finish that keeps this from being extremely sweet. I assume the sweetness comes from the brandy barrels. Slick palate but surprisingly light bodied, low to medium carbonation. This is as unique as it gets, and pretty amazing.

Via trade with 82300SD. The aroma is pumpkin/squash, caramel, pumpkin pie spice, earthy, somewhat sour, barnyard. The appearance is a hazy red. off-white head. The flavor is pumpkin (big time), sweet, caramel, pumpkin spice, brandy is very restrained, giving a slight fruity, boozy quality to the beer. The finish is spicy, sweet, piney. Medium in body. Not much booze at all for something this high in ABV and aged in brandy barrels. Nicely done. Only the aroma is the slightly off. JohnnyJ (5570) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Bottle. Cloudy brownish dark amber pour, with and small off white head. Sweet toffee malt, brandy, sweet pumpkin pie, oak, pie spice, nutmeg, light molasses, and some booze. A tasty sipping pumpkin ale. Sweet and dense. Lukaduke (3206) - Gray, Maine, USA - OCT 31, 2013
Bottle thanks to OnTape ! Pours a deep amber color with a finger of foam. The nose is a bit vegetal with notes of leather, pumpkin, sweet toffee, fig and booze. The palate is sweet caramel, boozy dates, lots of round pumpkin and a bit of earthy complexity that draws out the sweetness in the finish. A bit thin on the tail end and some booze burn but an interesting beer wither way ! MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - OCT 30, 2013
hazy amber, thin white ring. Nose is soft pumpkin bordering on tomato, acidic. Flavor has more balance, light pumpkin and grain, bit of chocolate and grain through end. davey101 (751) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 26, 2013
375ml bottle into a tulip glass. Bottled Autumn 2013. Pours a dark but clear burnt orange/red color. Frothy off white foam with clingy lacing. Aroma is roasted pumpkin flesh, pumpkin pie spices, chocolate, caramel, and brandy notes. Spicy and boozy. Taste is like a muted pumpkin spice ale with some oxidized brandy and caramel/brown sugar notes. Lingering chocolate and vanilla. Booze is present and warming but manageable. Mouth feel is medium bodied. One of the better pumpkin beers out there, but not as exciting as the description led me to believe. Very boozy.
