Sample at Kurtkeller 001: Pumpkin-tastic 01 on 11/22/2013. Deep copper-orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of pumpkins, toffee and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of pumpkin pie spices, caramel malt and figgy booze. The finish is sweet with a lingering boozed pumpkin aftertaste. Good beer overall.
Soft golden amber pour with one finger of light sandy tan head. Nose shows sweet pumpkin and gourd flesh with nice and round barrel notes. A tough of spice shines through with hints of alcohol and wood. Light toffee on the back. Warming in the mouth with a nice rich pumpkin flesh note and mild spice. Brandy rounds out nicely. Goes well with pork chops. Medium bodied and warming. BrewHaMeister (456) - Wisconsin, USA - OCT 31, 2015
Bottle poured murky tea brown with a thin white head and lacing. Aromas of spice, pumpkin, raisins, apricot, oak dominat, with booze evident. Happy Halloween! PartyFowle (954) - - MAY 2, 2015
Bottle aged about 18 months. Deep mahogany hue with a creamy tan head. Aroma is rich and smooth: nutmeg, ginger, roasted pumpkin, earthy hops. The flavor adds brandy -- in flavor and alcohol content -- to velvety pumpkin, caramel and a soft spice blend of ginger, nutmeg and allspice. Alcohol is incredibly well-hidden. A very smooth, tasty beer. suprchunk (2994) - Crestview, Florida, USA - APR 5, 2015
Deep orange color slight off white head. Not much lacing. Spicy nose with hints of squash and cinnamon. Taste is a very nutty pumpkin and a slight tartness. czar (9334) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 23, 2015
bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro! pours hazy orange-red with a very nice off-white head, good retention and lacing - particles everywhere though - but it’s acknowledged that it probably is spices more than yeast residues. sweet and spicy brandy-soaked dried fruits, lots of brown sugar, buttery barrels, celery and dill. lively carboantion - could settle a bit for a better sipping enjoyment; medium body; sweet, boozy and grassy-spicy finish. interesting use of pumpkins.

Pours hazy reddish amber with high beige head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is of spices, fruits, sugar (brown). Taste is of spices, pumpkins, alcohol, strong alcohol (liquor), some bitterness. Palate: Full bodied. Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Good. Not cloying. One of the best I’ve had in the pumpkin spectrum. tom10101 (6224) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 19, 2015

Appearance: Sligthly hazy deep copper with a medium off-white head and little lacing.
Aroma: The nose is quity spicy (nutmeg, cinnamon) with brown sugar, pumpkin, alcohol and caramel notes.
Taste: Quite spicy too (nutmeg again), but a little less than the aroma so that leave more space for the other components. Brown sugar, alcohol, pumpkin and moderate bitterness.
Palate: Medium to full bodied. Medium carbonation. A bit liquorous. Warming finish. Moderate lingering spiciness.
Overall: Not bad for what it is, but hey it’s still a Barley Wine and a Pumpkin beer. Alcohol is hidden relatively well. Decent / good.
Pours a clear copper with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is pretty much all nutmeg but if you try hard enough you might convince yourself that there is some caramel behind. Taste is really spicy and nutmeg-forward and not too sweet. Some really light pumpkin flavor. Moderately bitter. Body is medium and carbonation medium-high. Mouthfeel isn’t too sticky and alcohol is pretty well hidden. Overall a good one but I’m not sure I’ll seek out a pumpkin barleywine ever again. Bottle @ THT January. Pours a clear amber beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma has loads of pumpkin spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugary touches and hints of oak. Flavor is sweet with a big boozy note, brandy touches, pumpkin again and has this sticky sweet mouthfeel. Greatly balanced, great sweetness and alcohol is not overpowering. Great stuff!! sic1314 (4775) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JAN 16, 2015
Poured reddish amber with a tan head. Aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, pretty decent.
