COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden sour ale captures the flavors of summer bloom in California. We began by brewing our base farmhouse ale with an added 1,000 pounds of aromatic wildflower honey. Handpicked lavender grown at Eatwell Farms in Dixon, California was then added to each oak barrel as it aged, creating this funky, floral delight. Finished with a touch of coriander, ginger, and grains of paradise, a hint of minerality provides a complex backdrop of citrus, bosc pear, and aromatic botanicals. Serve with rosemary rack of lamb, ripe Taleggio cheese, and roasted pear salad.

Bottle from Smith's. Pours turbid straw with white head. Nose is yeasty funk, honey, florals. Tastes yeasty, funky, with notes of oak, coriander, ginger, paradise grains, smooth finish. I can think of two dozen dishes I would love to pair this with, from nachos to shrimp scampi to creme brulee.

Not quite clear golden from the bottle, quickly dissipating head.
Aroma is heavy on the lavender, with a decent amount of ginger and funk. Oaky slightly vinegary flavor, with a sweet honey kiss. Not my favorite from them, yet still pretty nice!

375 mL bottle poured. This beer just sounds like it's going to be good. It's a little sweet, but I think it actually adds to this. Shiny golden pour. The lavender dominates the aroma, though I don't get a whole lot of floral notes on the flavor. Sweet honey, and apple like flavors. Cool, slightly dry brett finish. Not really sour at all. Its the last thing that really comes to mind for me with this beer. Well executed beer here.

On tap at Almanac, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out oak barrels, moderate brett and attenuated honey. Flavour is along the same lines, with brett, attenuated out honey and light oak. Very good balance of wild yeast, oak and honey. Great stuff.
