This hoppy farmhouse ale brings together the earthy funk of a Belgian-style saison and the bold, citrus and tropical fruit flavors of West Coast hops.
We brewed a refreshing rustic ale with tangerines and Seville oranges, then dry-hopped with Citra to create a brand new session ale with hints of citrusy sweetness and a dry, crisp finish. Pair this bold brew with spicy street tacos or juicy burgers.
[1/28/16] Draught at Almanac & Friends Sourfest at MaSo at Park Central Hotel in San Francisco. Hazy golden. Aroma of yeast, fruity hops, soapy note, a spicy note. Dry flavor with fruity hops, mild spicy note. Medium-bodied. Good and refreshing.
Pours a cloudy yellow hue with a small, off white head that fades quickly. Strawberry, orange and tangerine on the nose. Starts off with notes of orange and tangerine, leading into wheat and distinct yeasty notes. Medium bodied with ample carbonation. This is an amazingly drinkable beer that I hope almanac releases in bombers or 6 packs. Would be great on a hot day.
