COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pumpkin Sour is our ode to autumn. We brewed a sumptuous spiced brown ale and aged it for months in wine and Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels with hand-roasted California heirloom pumpkins. The result is a tart and complex celebration of the harvest season, and the perfect mate for savory Thanksgiving staples and bourbon pecan pie.

Keg Third of a Pint at The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, London in Apr 2016 - Dark Reddish Brown in colour. Off-white head. Very Fruity; cherries, plums, some citrus. Sour fruity, slightly tart. Spicy. Vinegary. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Sweet and sour very fruity beer. Very Good. Easily the best pumpkin beer I have had although I didnt actually detect any pumpkin. (2016-04-16)

Bottle at WTF 4. Pours a dark brown with small beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is pumpkin, wood, nuts, lacto. Thin body, spice, pumpkin, nice tartness, very good.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Very dark color, almost black. Light beige head. Aromas: sour, a bit herbal, roasty, chocolate. Retronasal its sour, light alcohol, light bourbon/vanilla. Flavor is sour with a vague sweetness. Medium bodied. Wood tannines in the finish. I didnt get much bourbon of pumpkin, but quite nice anyway.

375 ml bottle shared, purchased at Mr. Bs Wine & Spirits. Almost black in appearance with a diminishing brown head. Aroma of sour funk, dark fruity esters, light cinnamon and a touch of pumpkin spices. Similar flavor, adding hints of bourbon, oak and vanilla. A complex, dark, spicy sour with hints of barrel aging. Pretty good overall, but slightly underwhelming after over a year in the bottle.

On tap. Slightly hazy amber color with beige head. Aroma is malty and slightly spicy with a hint of fermented fruits but its quite simple overall. Taste starts tart with some fermented fruits like mirabelle plums and apricots, finishes slightly spicy and dry. Medium body with low carbonation. Quite underwhelming overall, there is absolutely no barrel character.

Bottle from Beersnmore, bottled July 2015. Pours clear dark brown, light foam which quickly dies. Beautiful wine barrels with the sourness already clearly on display in the nose. A bit of funk, neatly tart. Surprisingly light through the distinct sourness. Very low carbonation. Pumpkin, well, maybe - I usually dont have taste buds for that. Vinous throughout, even on the palate. Nice and tasty, but a bit too focused on the sour.
