COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sour IPA combines two of our greatest passions: West Coast IPAs and barrel-aged sours. We started by brewing a mixed-culture sour base beer with the addition of a massive amount of Mosaic hops in the whirlpool. The Brettanomyces-forward ale was then aged in a mix of new and used oak barrels, allowing complex tartness and pronounced oak character to develop. We finished this “Sour India Pale Ale” with an intense double dry-hopping regimen of Citra, Simcoe, Galaxy and Nugget in the barrels and the blending tank. The result is a bright and complex citrus and pineapple hop bomb!

Bottle from Bruisin' Ales. Pours hazy/translucent gold with a creamy/fizzy white head. Aroma of Brett and citrus. Med body. Flavor is Brett in a very nice way. Mild horse blanket. It's moderately sour. Pleasingly so. It's dry. It's very citrus. And there's a mild acidity and flavor suggesting pineapple. Overall it's very tasty and refreshing. Liking it a lot.

On tap at Crafted. Pours hazy golden with a decent white head; nice lace. Taste is sour (7/10), catty, dry and bitter. Aroma is catty. Just ok. I don’t think I’m totally sold on the idea of sour ipas yet.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Bottle at home. This was so good very hoppy but sour. if it didn't have sour on the label you would thought it was an IPA until you drink it. Love this style

Liked the hoppy sour mosaic better. Hazed golden color. Fruity and herbal hop punch with some lactic funk. Moderately sour. Tasty, just clashes a little bit in comparison to most of their hoppy sour line.

Very nice, sour adds a citrus quality with the hops, and a tart finish, very hop forward though, but balanced and nice with the tropical notes.
