COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summer in the City combines California-grown citrus, vanilla beans, and Citra hops to make a bright, refreshing beer perfect for summer sipping. Aged in oak barrels, layers of tangerine, mandarin and oranges blend with our all-Brettanomyces fermentation before we finished it with vanilla for a touch of sweetness. A little hoppy, a little wild, and a lot of personality make this beer great with BBQ shrimp, lemon bars and long summer days full of sunshine.

Draft at Southern Grist Nations taproom. Pours a hazy straw gold that glows with a finger of white foam that lingers. Great tropical breeze nose, passion fruit, lychee and tangerine. Spritzy carbonation. Light tartness, bright and clean. Same tropical notes on the palate with a touch of lemon. Crisp finish.

UPDATED: JAN 12, 2018 This one pours a light slightly hazy yellow-ish, with a small head, and not much lacing. This one smells like vanilla, sour orange, and grassy funk, with lactic sourness stinging the nose. The vanilla is a nice sweet creamy counterpoint to the sour clean citrus. There's a vague spicing I can't place in this one, but it's nice. There's a slight grassy funk that doesn't overwhelm. This is light bodied, a little thin with a good level of carbonation .

Clear golden under a thin cap of foamy white stickiness. Nice citric woody bretty aromas with a little zest and wood and light barn nuances. Nuanced and complex flavor of orange zest, super light citric tartness, soft vanilla creme, and cool tropical-citric bretty funky tones. Lingering citrus zest and soft hop tones.

On tap at Tap and Mallet sour fest. Light, refreshing, citrus and tropical notes. Taste of pineapple, mild pucker, soft mouthfeel, taste a bit of oak and finishes dry. Quite enjoyable.

Draft at Farmhouse Tap &Grill, Burlington, VT. Aroma shows me old citrus, vanilla hints, funk. The flavor is not overly sour vanilla and spice does cut it BUT.... not really my jam. Pucker is still here more than I enjoy. Just to much funk and sour hints. I can't find the appeal with this.

375ml bottle, 2017 vintage. Bright, tart tangerine and orange citrus aroma with notes of spicy Brett, vanilla, oak and a bit of hops. Pours cloudy pale golden colored with a thin white head that has some retention and decent lacing. Starts with bright, acidic tangerine and orange flavors with a little bit of vanilla as well as a lively mouthfeel. Finishes dry and still quite tart from the citrus with spicy Brett funk, oak and a hint of hoppiness at the very end. Another nice sour from these guys.

Bright cloudy orange. Funky yeast and lots of citrus on the nose. Vanilla and oak are nuanced, and this is quite delicious and a slight change of pace. Well done!
