COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer pairs two “blancs”: California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes and German Hallertau Blanc hops. Blended together in wine barrels and large oak foudres, White Label emerges from the casks as a unique hybrid of beer and wine. The combination of white grapes and tropical-aroma hops creates a luscious nose of ripe apricot, lychee and lemongrass. Finished with a touch of coriander, this complex sipper is a perfect pairing for dishes like mussels steamed in coconut curry, fresh pad thai, and macadamia crusted halibut.

kolejny udany kwas kalifornijczyków, morelowo tropikalne nuty, ale wszystko przykryte nutami stajennymi, lecz stajnia to koni arabskich za miliony - smrody i niesmaczki wygładzone w zapachy i smaczki

(375ml bottle from boxbeers.dk) Pours a lightly hazy medium gold with a small white head that lingers as a ring with lots of lace. Aroma of white wine, coriander, lemongrass, dried apricot, floral tropical fruits, golden raisins, moderately oaky, lightly funky, soft acidity (wine vinegar/lactic) but underlying fruity sweetness too. Flavour is light, airy and lightly sweet with low tartness, notable white Muscat notes, pale pit fruit, grassy and herbal though the coriander/lemongrass isn't as prominent as the nose. Lightly oaked white wine quality. No real funk from the Brett. A little lemon/orange acidity. Semi-dry lingering grape finish with no bitterness but more obvious lemongrass and coriander. Light boded with low carbonation. More subtle than their somewhat conceptually similar Grand Cru White, but also much more herbal thanks to the spices added. Very nice, opens up in the glass with time too.

375 ml bottle poured into a teku. The beer is a clear yellow with a white head of foam. Good head retention. Soft and creamy fruit character with a moderately acidic profile. Lemony and grape character. Medium body and soft carbonation. Kind if a gummy mouthfeel.

Just a pretty, rich and complex blend. The oak shows, there is a little lemongrass and bright tropical fruit, as well as some spice blend and sandalwood. Delicate and very nice finish.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2017 bottle at home. Wow what a beer. the brewers have used wine barrels and put grapes in and raisins, and used it to good effect. This was like drink wine and didn't make you think it was a beer. I'm going to San Francisco next year and hope I can try this on tap
