Flaska (Lotto 76). Grumlig bärnstensfärgad med smutsvitt skum. Dofter av karamell, blomster och malt. Rökigheten dominerar smaken, därtill karamell, malt och viss fruktighet. Rund och mjuk munkänsla.

0.375l bottle from Lot 76, shared with The Tasting Crew. It has lots of eye-floaters this one, as good as clear looking red-amber colored with a bubbly and big sidesticking white head. Really smoky aroma. Not typical Barleywine nose really as it’s quite mild and a tad weird. Almost a little flourish as well. It’s soft, really soft on the bubbles this and it has a gliding oily mouthfeel. Again, light smoked in the taste with traces of dried fruits and red grapes. Quickly forgettable really. 19.02.2014

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 19.02.2014, 0,375l bottle sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, dried fruits, caramel malts, hay, grass, hints of peat. Taste is slightly harsh, hay, harsh grass, dried fruits, caramel malts, almond essence, soil, hints of smoke. Little bitterness, watery mouthfeel. Meh!

Cloudy dark orange. Aroma is malty with hints of peat and smoke. Taste is malty with a soury ashy note. Not a very awesome barley wine.

Svesse (8616) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 13, 2013
(Bottle) Dark amber colour, slightly hazy, with dense beige head. Fruity, slightly smoky nose with notes of dried fruit, rye bread, apricots, caramel and hints of smoke and peat. Malty, fruity taste with rye bread, apricots, dried fruit, candy sugar, peat and hints of smoked tea. Balanced spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty ale with a gentle smoke character. Quite nice.

Bottle shared by Anki, thanks. Pours murky brown with a thin head/film. Aroma is tart and malty. Taste is sweet, mostly caramel malt and some smoke. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, mouth feel is dry, astringent. After taste is dry and bitter.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Colore ambrato carico, schiuma poco persistente.
