Oklar bärnstens-röd färgad med ljus brunt skum. Doft: Jord, jäst, mineraler, svaga bröd kryddor, äppel källare. Skum doft. Smak: Barr och kåda, mjölkchoklad, persika, frukt kärnor, bränt kött, smakar även lite fat lagrat.

37.5 cl bottle from systembolaget gøteborg. Batch 76, BBE 01/16, 8,5%. Pours a bit hazy dark amber with a large creamy beige head. Caramel. toffee and some smoke to the nose. Sweet, caramel and some oaky notes to the tounge. Easy to drink.

Hazy brown with a thick off white head. Malty with fruity tones. Malt, fruit and peat. Full body with a balanced after taste.

Brown cloudy dirty color with white head. Wood and malt aroma, at taste is light sweet with wood flavour intense and tiring.

Melker (267) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 25, 2012
Murky brown beer, off-white head. Aroma of prunes, nuts, toffee, and smoke. Malty taste, smokey and kinda chemical actually. The body is thin and oily.

Bottle (375 ml) from Systembolaget. Clear mahogny, medium beige head. Smokey aroma with some fudge, almond and toffee in the background. Medium bodied, soft carbonatio. Semi dry with low to medium bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of a kind soul at the Tampa Weekly Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow with an off-white head. Nose is peaty band-aid soaked in cigarette ashes. Flavor follows the nose with a hint of caramel. Medium in body and uber smokey for my tastes.

rarbring (2290) - Linköping, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2012
Aroma: Smelling of egg yolk, sugar and nuts.
Appearance: Very clouded and murky, a brown brew with hint of orange, a warm off-white uneven head, good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Starting sweet, brown bread, syrup, raisins, sherry, Marzipan and apple peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, smooth and thick, a big body and a slightly dry finish.
Overall: A sweet barley wine, young, as most I get the feeling I should have waited a few years.
Note: Bottle. Reviewed 2012-07-20.

Det här är kanske inte världens mest välsmakande öl men den är ytterst komplex och då även intressant. Smaken är nötig, syrlig och unken, som sagt inte världens mest välsmakande öl men förbannat rolig.

Man, I didn’t know what I was getting into with this one...but that was the point. Nose is synthetic rubber, caramel and nuts, honey, whole grain mustard, and peat malt. Very unique. Body is a dull orange color with not much for head. Taste is funky with less of that rubber quality, a touch of alcohol, lightly fruity, and brown mustard. Strange is for sure. I brought this one specifically for Markwise. Cheers!!
