Draught at the brewpub Lubiere (14182) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Blond color, hazy, with small compact head. The aroma is too light, just an impression of cereals. Some malt flavor, with dry mouthfeel and ordinary bitterness. Almost a Pale Lager, not even an ale; too simple.
As Aloha Blonde. A blonde ale with a very thin white head. In aroma, grainy malt with light solvent notes and sulfur. In mouth, a clean crisp malt with light sweet notes. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 30, 2012. AmEricanbrew (7065) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - SEP 11, 2012
On tap as Aloha Blonde. Clear golden color with white sheen. Mild grainy pale malt aroma with a whiff of floral hop. Medium bodied. Decent enough grainy pale malt flavors with a lightly bitter, crisp finish-- Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAR 3, 2011
On tap at the brewpub (Sam Choy’s) as “Blonde Ale.” Pours a clear, yellow-gold colored body with a finger-width, foamy, white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is pale, crisp malts with a light sweetness. A touch of honey and florals. Flavor is similar. A light pale malt with a touch of honey sweetness. Just a hint of grass and floral hops give this a very light bitterness while it finishes smooth and slowly dries. Shorter aftertaste following a light-medium, smooth, crisp body and soft, moderate carbonation. Very easy drinking and fits the cream ale style nicely. Overall, after trying all their other beers, this one actually stood out. It’s not the most flavorful or remarkable in the least bit, but it is easy drinking and fits the style. It also doesn’t have that sourness that some of their other beers have consistently had. Not bad.
