Clear red-amber colour. Strong piney hops in the aroma and flavour. Very crisp body with a tasty lingering finish. A nice IPA, and the highlight of my Sam Choy sampling. shrubber85 (11573) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 26, 2008
Tap. Sweet caramel malt and pine hops aroma. Dark amber color with small head. Sweet caramel malt and moderate hops flavor. Lingering hops aftertaste. Very nice - great blending of hop and malt flavors. Volgon (2763) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 1, 2003
GABF 2003: Clear orange color, soft hops aroma, full bodied and ends bitter. A bit sour in the ending suggests that this beer wasn't in its prime. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - SEP 20, 2012

Beer Hall. Clear copper color with ivory head. Pine, floral, dank, spicy hop aromas. Medium body. Nice Kona Bud, spicy hop, pine sap flavors on a solid pale malt base--tasty IPA
Draft: poured copper with a smallish beige head. Aroma of hops and some pine. Flavor is hoppy, a little pine and pineapple. Some caramel notes. Quite enjoyable.

2008 – Great Hawaii Beer Run
Aroma – A decent IPA aroma with some malts lingering.
Appearance – Yellow in color, nice head and clear.
Flavor – A decent IPA flavor with the good malt background to hold it up. This was about 70 IBU’s it was pretty good.
Palate – Had a good Mouthfeel, the hops made the beer finish very dry this was a good IPA would hold up in the Pac NW.
Overall – IPA fans can get a beer they would be happy with. It is not the huge IPAs we have but still la decent IPA.
As Aloha IPA. A dark amber with no head. In aroma, smooth biscuit malt with floral hops. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with honey notes, floral hops, citrus notes, nice. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 30, 2012. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 22, 2013
Draught at the brewpubBraudog (6804) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 2, 2003
Hazy red-amber color, the head disappears quickly. There is some aroma of malt, caramel, and light butter. The mouthfeel I just less dry than most other beers here, strong flavor of dark caramel, almost roasted malt, with strong bitterness; the hop provides some resins but no fruity touch; there is an impression of butter. Long final.
A sturdy IPA, mostly an American Amber; they should control the diacetyl.
Red, thinly topped. This is a bit thin, but sweet and elegantly hopped. Not bad.
