3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted in a sampler at their tap room, and took a growler to go. It poured a slightly hazy bright golden colour with thicky white foam, long-lasting with lace. A simple but well-executed recipe: grainy pale base malt + grassy/peppery hops + exquisite Westmalle Trappist Belgian ale yeast. Hints of citrus, spice, banana, even that elusive bubble-gum ester. Light body, spritzy carbonation, hoppy dry finish with some lingering yeast complexity. To me, this is a very true-to-style Belgian Pale Ale, Singel, Trappist Petit/Enkel, etc. Really good for what it is.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a creamy white head that laces the glass. Floral notes, sweet cream, citrus peel, sugar, straw, and bubblegum. Phenolic. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and lingering bitterness. Not my thing.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light fruity nose that is hard to pin down, tastes like bubblegum with a hint of bitterness.
