Man great weisse. Citric acid, wheat phenolic wet wheat character. Some honey like ol hop character. Really broad tart like multi sourness. seymour (2057) - Maplewood, Missouri, USA - AUG 4, 2014
Tasted at their tap room in a sampler glass. It poured a mostly clear straw colour with weak white foam. Sour aromas of yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchee, faint grains, no hops. Taste was less complex and sour than I expected, and a little rough around the edges. True to style but not quite as tasty as classic examples. I tasted it straight-up, but they offer the syrups too, just like in Berlin. Give it a try. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 27, 2014
On tap @ Alpha Brewing. Mostly clear golden pour with a small white head. Jesus. Puke-weisse right off the bat. Cheesy and metallic as well. Salty olive brine, some lemon, and yogurt. Flavor is only slightly better than the aroma. Bile and cheese are still strong. Slightly less metallic. Some yogurt and lemon juice sourness. Very sour, in fact. Still salty. Terrible. Pours a hazy yellow with a small head.
The aroma is very bready with some baguette and a light lemony twang.
The flavor is tart and yougurty with a bit of salt and a bit of fruitiness.
Sampled at Alpha Brewing during RBSG. Pours a copper color with white head. Weird, fruity, apple flavors.

Draft on tap at the brewery (St. Louis, MO). Pours a well hazed golden hue, a gentle orange glow with frothy whitish head. Filmy layer sits atop as a thicker ring, nice lacing overall. Aromas are a bit lactic, lemony and yogurty. Gentle bread, some straw and touches lemon rind. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a touch watery with some twangy lactic flavors, some yogurt and lemon water. A bit sour with some bready malts, gentle straw. A bit thin overall. The middle is a bit fruity with lemon, some yogurt. Lacks that twangy metallic fierce element and that sourness is a bit middling into the backend. A touch dry, lactic with lemon rind, gentle juice. A bit yogurty, sour and. A bit spoiled. Good and bad in flashes. Ok. The sourness comes in jabs, the beer itself offers some decent flavors, a bit cheesy, decent drinkability and some odd funk DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Taster on tap at the brewery. Mostly clear golden orange color. Minimal ring of white head. Orange citrus and berliner funk in the nose. Some creme. Medium body. Smooth, kind of crisp / soft lighter carbonation, more dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate sour, light spice. Some peach. Very mild overall, and kind of sweet for a berliner. Without the sour, the funk doesn’t really work. Worth trying overall. Not terrible. Like many of the beers here, though, it gets worse as I go and try to think about it more. cubs (10640) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 20, 2014
On tap @ Alpha. Pours a hazy peach appearance with little had. White cheese, puke, funky lemon nose. Lightly tart. Apricot, lemon juicy, stomach acid flavor. Pass. jandd1983 (4377) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUL 15, 2013
