Really bitchen red. Malty red. Toffee balance some real light roast. Rich mouthfeel. Earthy hops. I love this style if it is done well. brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - JUN 27, 2014
On tap @ Alpha Brewing. Amber pour with an off-white head. Kind of acidic and briney on the nose. Olive, toasted, bread, and red fruits. Sweet toasted
malt on the palate. Red berries, caramel, toast, and olives. Light bitterness and a fair amount of acidity. Meh. jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 25, 2014
Sampled at Alpha Brewing during RBSG. Pours an amber color with white head. Caramel, malty, sweet flavors. Eh DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 20, 2014
Taster on tap at the brewery. Clear red orange color. Minimal off-white ring of head. Kind of soft, lightly rough, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Mild chocolate. Kind of toasty. Some spicy hop. Moderate bitter, kind of spicy bite. Not a good amber red ale. Spicy soft texture. More bite than necessary. Not a fan at all. Not offensive, but rough and very basic. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 20, 2014
On tap @ Alpha. Pours a dark reddish orange appearance with an off white head. Caramel, chocolate, dull herbal hoppy nose. Fairly sweet flavor. Light toffee, caramel. Not much hops. Pass.

Tasted on tap at the brewery tasting room. It poured a nice deep reddish amber colour with beige foam and a little lace. Weak aroma, not unpleasant, just barely existent. Malty, nutty, bready, slightly toasted. Palatable with an overall mild impression: low hops, low esters. Medium body and carbonation. Like most Alpha beers, the residual sweetness made it feel unfinished to me, but many people like it for the same reason. This is the closest thing to a flagship beer for Alpha, it’s their best-seller, and the one offered half-off during Cardinals games, goes great with pizza or Buffalo wings or whatever...another customer at the bar said, "it seems like Killian’s but a little fresher and better." I agree. kaser (6360) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2013
Had on draft at alpha brewing with the whole kaser family. Malty and earthy. Good hops. Carmel and full bodied. Like it for a red boozedude (2228) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - NOV 29, 2013

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with an off-white head. Notes of caramel, cereal, brown sugar, and dried fruits. Simple and malty. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, dry mouthfeel. Decent amber.
