COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rye is a grain that gives our beer a little peppery spicy kick. This rye pale ale uses 50% rye in its grain bill giving the brew a healthy dose of rye flavor. Nicely hopped with pacific northwest hops and fermented with California ale yeast.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a deep golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was bright with spice and earthy hops along side malts and a touch of rye. The taste was of some graininess, a modest rye twang, a bit of grapefruit and nearing lemon acidity. It ended a bit dry and refreshing. Tasty.

Draft at the brewpub, served in a sampler. Pours a hazy, pale gold color with a small white head. Notes of sweet malts, citrus, straw, tropical fruits, florals, and rye. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. Starts juicy, finishes bitter. Not as much rye character is on display as the description indicates.

Just don't like it much. Pineapple and cereal aroma, cloudy pale blonde color, nice smooth feeling on the tongue. Just don't like it as much as I expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
