Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, black shoe polish, wood, booze, prunes. Taste is more liquorice and wood, very woody up front. Dark fruit coming through on the finish. Wish I’d had more time to enjoy this!

Keg. Pours black, dark brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, smoky whisky, peated malts, chocolate, liquorice, a hint of ethanol. Flavours of peated and roasted malts, sweet toffee, oak. Smooth and soft but quite high smoke and peat. I often dont like those in BA beer but this just works perfectly.

Black with tan head. Like smelling the inside of whiskey barrels. Sweet, spicy alcohol and huge whiskey barrel finish. Overall: lacks body and texture, but makes up for it with punk attitude aroma and finish. Unbalanced.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 31, 2015
[email protected] More or less black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head which stays for quite a while. Aroma is nicely smoked with some mild spices, chocolate, toffee, liquorice, alcohol sweetness and mild ripe fruity notes. Flavour is quite similar, but the smoked notes get a bit peated like. More mellow than the Ardbeg BA.

Desverger (12915) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2015
[email protected] 2015, Green Session - pours black with a tan head. Dark roasted malty aroma and taste with caramel chocolate, nuances, light vanilla, dark dried fruits, whisky infused wooden notes, smokey but not to much for me.
