Nice aroma and flavor in nose and initial taste. Really harsh in the middle and end of the drink. Overly bitter and not balanced. Might be nice after this is worked out.

Sampled at the 2013 Heritage Festival. It poured an amber color with a slight haze and a white head. The aroma was earthy with resiny hops and white sugar. The taste was earthy, grainy and bitter and was fairly unbalanced overall with a barky bitterness in the finish.

Draft in a sampler at the brewpub. Pours a semi-hazy pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is faint but smells of sweaty socks. Also notes of straw, grass, citrus, and florals. Finishes extremely bitter after starting light, and the bitterness lingers. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation. There’s no reward to the bitterness here.
