My two favorite beers: Alpine’s Duet and Alpine’s Nelson (Rye IPA). In San Diego, we have an embarrassment of riches with 60+ micro and nano breweries. Still, these two have great aroma, palate, finish and bite.Long my favorties. Strong so bring it home if you can. Still, better on tap at Toronado, Ritual Tavern, Hamilton’s or O’Brien’s.

THis has long been one of my two favorite brews (Alpine Nelson being the other). This fine beer has a strong floral aroma that reveals the two hops giving it it’s name.It has a nice body, firm but not chunky. It has a clean though not quite dry finish. I strongly recommend this to anyone who enjoys a robust IPA.

One of yhe best beers I’ve ever had. The floral goodness right of the bat with a great hippy finish

A very complex IPA from Alpine with tons of citrus and tropical fruit qualities, namely mango and pineapple. Not as piney as Nelson and certainly has richer and less bitter qualities than Nelson but same hoppiness. I’m always surprised Nelson gets more attention, as this is a killer IPA. Lovely appearance as well, with a amber/carmelish hue.

The spirit is been a delicious go to IPAA of mine for some time now. Like the name is just the right balance of flavors and it's not too overpowering.

I’ve been drinking this for a while now and finally decided to review it. This is my go to beer as of late for a couple simple reasons. First and foremost, it’s straightforward. It’s very aromatic. There’s a ton of big tropical and citrus fruit that hit you right out of the bottle. Pineapple, mango, and grapefruit dominate the aroma. The second reason is it’s absolutely delicious. It just seems effortless here. The taste is so tropical and bitter. Super dry with no weird maltiness. Only for balance. Pineapple mango juice are what I think of when I’m drinking it. It’s really delicious and I highly recommend it.

A beautiful hop and citrus aroma, I prefer this to the pure happiness double IPA, as this is a lot smoother and easier to drink. Pretty close to a perfect beer

Everything from tropical fruit and citrus to pine and dank in the aroma. Pours golden with small white head. All the same hop notes shine in the flavor. Finishes with a zing and leaves pleasant bitterness, wanting more. Excellent.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2014 Pours a slightly clear golden yellow. Small head and little spotted lacing. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, cocoa, vanilla, molasses, resinous and juicy hoppy. Tons of simcoe and ammarillo hops present. Taste is a juicy cherry hop bite, and wood notes. Amazing beer. Tons of dank melons and pineapple.
