Short rating (cause Im @ work right now...) Pour from a growler. Aroma dripping with resin and fruit rind. Light crusty malt. Peaches and some pears. Slightly floral with some grass and herbs as well. Crystal clear golden pour with a resilient fluffy white head. Minimal lacing. Flavor is quite dry. I was expecting quite a bit more based on the aroma. Lost of dry, crusty and bready malt. Slightly spicy and resinous hops. Herbal and crackery. Medium bodied. Average carbonation with a bone dry finish. Decent. Thanks Randall!

maekchu (3547) - Hirakata, JAPAN - DEC 7, 2016
Bottle from World Beer Market (Sake no Taniguchi). Big malty nose, which is immediately replaced by the piney hops. Lots of grass, grapefruit, and peach. Medium orange/amber color, lightly hazy. Very citrusy initial, with oranges, orange peel, and lemon. Caramel in mid palate, More citrus. A bitter resiny finish. Medium body, very crisp. Wow! The hop blend is mazimized here, but the bitterness delights rather than destroys the palate. A great IPA.

downender (8041) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 30, 2016
Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Deep gold in colour, with a decent, white, head. Plenty of grassy hops, tangerine and grapefruits, a pine hit, and crisp balancing malts, before a dry, hoppy finish. Excellent.

Bottle at home picked up from Beer Gonzo. Best Before 11 Feb 2017. A clear orange golden coloured pour with a lasting rocky white head. Aroma is bright citrus, orange rind, little caramel malt. Hint of pine on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of semi sweet base malts with a hint of toffee, candied orange peel, faint grapefruit peel. The hops are a little tired, Assertive rounded layered hop bitterness. Palate is semi sweet and a little sticky, highish carbonation. Probably better fresh.

An aroma of fruit, grapes and mineral hops, a slightly hazy caramel color without much of a head. Taste of grapes and fruit with an oily mineral feel medium body and a slightly chalky bitter finish.
Earlier Rating: 3/31/2016 Total Score: 3.6
A great hop aroma of resins and floral hops. Pours an amber color with a short lasting head. The taste disappoints, it is very resinous with just a hint of hops and caramel. Medium body with a resinous caramel finish.
