Bottle courtesy of GT2, thanks! Hazy maroon color, beige head with great retention. Aroma of coffee grounds, brandy, cocoa poder, Christmas spice. Taste is rich coffee, dark chocolate, spice. Wonderful. Ibrew2or3 (8607) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle shared on the GABF Friday brewery tour bus, thanks Steve (I think, well thanks anyway). It pours an amber color supporting a light tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up a pleasing mix of pumpkin and spices with cinnamon and some nutmeg and then some nearly dark roasted maltiness in the background. The taste has a nearly bright richness but it doesn’t become too rich but rather light on its feet. Really tasty almost refreshing degree of richness (if that even makes the slightest sense). I get fresh pumpkin meat sprinkled with crushed dark roasted malty grains, cinnamon and nutmeg spiciness. Dynamite stuff. If you want something rich yet less than imperial this is it. Tap 2012 ed at Alpine. Pours a clear, deep ruby to near black. Medium tan foam. Nose is chocolate chunk cookie, brown sugar, cinnamon, star anise. Taste is chocolate chunk oatmeal cookie, mild spice. Not really a pumpkin beer as much as an awesome porter all around. Muted spice, nothing contrived. Subtle, complex. Really solid. Palate is very clean, refreshing, mild oil, no sugar or syrup. Better than all of their hoppy stuff on tap actually save for the WHAle. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 22, 2012
Pours dark and black with a small tan head. Nose is pumpkins, yams, cinnamon, nutmeg. Date I say it smells like pumpkin pie in a bottle. Taste is sweet and well balanced with a good bitterness on the finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a heavy body and a long finish.

22 oz. bomber. Pours dark brown-almost black color, with a thin tan head which fades to some lacing on the edges. Aroma is of roasted malts, coco, pumpkin meat, nutmeg & cinnamon, and some faint hops. Taste is of roasted malts, bakers coco, earthy pumpkin meat, some coffee, pie spices, some general hop bitterness in the end. Has a medium body with a slightly creamy mouthfeel a a semi dry, roastey, semi bitter finish. overall, a pretty nice pumpkin porter that isn’t too sweet like a lot of pumpkin beers.

I opened this on the party bus, Friday of GABF. Bottle from hamilton23. Pours a dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, some good pumpkin backbone and light spice. Flavor is all roasted malt, pumpkin flavor and just the perfect amount of spice. Well done. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - OCT 26, 2012
650 ml bottle. Pours a nearly opaque dark brown color with a small beige head that soon recedes to a fine film. The aroma is earthy, roasty and musty with mocha, dark chocolates and melons. The taste is complex with well roasted grains in the forefront, then--fruits, spices, chocolates and bitter walnuts. The palate is full and creamy smooth and the carbonation is soft. Finishes long, dry and leaves you with an earthy aftertaste. Overall: This is what a Bud drinker would call Weird, but I call it Yummy. Keir (183) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 9, 2012

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It pours a dark brown with some orange highlights and a small beige head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some spotty lacing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of chocolate and citrus. There is some light pumpkin in the background. The finish more chocolate mixed with some light cinnamon and nutmeg. It’s medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.
22 ounce bottle poured a dark brown color with aromas of light coffee, earth, some pumpkin and nutmeg. Flavors were light coffee and pumpkin. I liked the pumpkin flavor a lot did not taste artificial, smooth, and easy to drink.
