Had it at Toronado SD. Nice golden color with a really big hop aroma for the style. Nice bitterness with just enough malt to keep it balanced. An excellent beer to have if you’re having more than 1 or 2. beerisgoodforu (992) - Nørresundby, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2012
Tap. Pours a golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is filled with hops I get lots of peach and apricot, some orange and tangerine as well and slight sweet malt. Flavor follows the nose, lots of peach and apricot, orange and tangerine, it is super juicy with a touch of sweet malt. The body is medium with a dry mouth feel. Overall a really nice APA but not as good as Hoppy Birthday. JPDurden24 (1675) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUN 15, 2012
At FWIBF, Hazy orange pour with a white head. Cirtus, yeast, and pine aroma. Sweet and malty with some minor bitterness on the taste and just flat out good. Another winner from Alpine. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 15, 2012
Light orange pour with a nice white head. Another great beer from Alpine. Lots of citrus, oranges, yeast, grassy notes. Flavor is spicy hops, mango, grassy notes...damn good! Ibrew2or3 (8808) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 1, 2012
On tap at the Santee Oggi’s pizzeria pouring clear gold with white head and some nice lacing. The aroma is a mix of citrus and spicy to near grassy bitter hops with a firm sweet maltiness riding alongside. The taste is chewy malt sweetened citrus as well as a load of spicy hops, a touch of roasted malts and plenty of malt sweetened hoppy goodness going on in the background. This is a solid brew with plenty of both hop flavor and hop bitterness and nicely supported by a modest sweet malt base.

On tap at the source... Pours a slightly hazy lighter orange cidery hue with a milky frothy white head... Orange and a little mint with some mild herbal qualities. Biscuity malt and a touch of honey on the backend... Flavors have biscuity caramel malt that pairs equally with atenger citrusy tangerine notes. Some lightly spiced breadiness from the malt bill. More citrusy and herbal with enough malt although the hops take precedence. Lighter bodied overall but still pretty drinkable. Aroma a little better than the nose. Citra definitely is apparent throughout. thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - NOV 3, 2011
Draft at Alpine. Aroma is dank with a bit of pine but not overwhelming. Damn, a nice pale ale. Taste is nice for the style but I’m not a session guy. This one is a keeper. dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 22, 2011
(on draught at Alpine). Pours a clear golden color with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is citrus and caramel malts. Taste is sweet malts with bright, pleasant bitterness. Medium bodied and oily. Bitter finish. Nice pale ale. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 15, 2011
Clear light orange with a fizzy white head. Citrus and pine aroma. Tastes of grass skunky hops and citrus with an earthy bitter finish. JohnnyJ (5569) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 13, 2011
Draft at the brewery. Clear golden with and a white head. Citrusy hops, tangerine, grapefruit, tropical fruit, light grass, and light grains. Super clean and drinkable. Nice flavors, an excellent summer pale ale. Not quite as good as Hoppy Birthday though.
