On tap at De Garde quarterly. Pours a hazy orange gold with frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong dank and pine. Medium mouth, juicy tropical dank, light bitterness, crushable, really enjoyed this.

Growler. Hazy yellow pour with a big head that lasts. Nose is strong floral, pine, malt. Flavor is pine with some malt and bread. Dry, bitter finish. Still an excellent beer from Alpine but not as great as some of their IPAs.

(En fût au Pub): Des zestes de tangerines, oranges dans un jus de mangues pulpeuses. Superbe corpulence! Alpine livre encore, et avec 5% d’alcool cette fois-ci. Je peux juste dire merci, encore.

Draft - Lots of citrus, wet grass and some skunk. Cloudy gold with a white head. Citrus, grass and some skunk. Complex and wonderful. I love these guys.

On tap at De Garde, pours a hazy yellow with a huge foamy white head. Aroma brings out lots of floral hops, some pine, and biscuity malt. Flavour is similar, with a dry piney hop quality upfront that isn’t too bitter or aggressive, and balanced by a dry biscuity malt backbone. Dry, floral and wonderfulIy balanced. Another excellent pale from Alpine.

At De Garde. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A sweet resinous hop nose. Really nice, 5% wow, resin, sugary sweet hops, oranges, biscuit base. Great!

Type: 16-oz. draft
Glass: Clear pint glass
From: Alpine Beer Company pub in Alpine, Calif.
Price: $5.00
Purchased: Nov. 10, 2015
Consumed: Nov. 10, 2015
Misc.: Sophomore debut

Poured a golden, orange, murky color with 1-to-2 fingers of offwhite, frothy head when I got it. Couldn’t see any bubbles on the sides of the glass. Average, uneven lacing on the sides of the glass. Below average retention. (Sight - 3.50)

Smelled Citra, floral, orange, orange blossom, Mosaic, tropical zest and German or New Zealand hops late. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste was similar to the nose, although not as good. Got Citra, orange blossom, earthy orange rind, tropical, Mosaic and Galaxy (realized that’s what the German or New Zealand hops were). (Taste - 3.75)

Light-to-medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt, earthy finish. (Feel - 3.75)

This was a decent pale ale, but I’m glad it was just a pint and not a growler. (Overall - 3.75)

3.86 87 B+

On tap at their pub. Great hoppy aroma. Very drinkable, big orange taste. Lacy. Nice pale.
