COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated body hazy dark yellow orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The weak aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild rye and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

January 10th, 2015 - Hot on the heels, one hoppy taster after another, comes the Pure Hoppiness, promising another burst of bitterness for an eager tongue. The nose is a little harder to pick up on this one, probably from aroma fatigue. but there’s a bit of crushed apple served alongside the hop profile, which remains a little muddied (again, likely my own fault for vaulting from one taster to the next.) The flavor on this Alpine entry is dry and slightly sweet, almost like a light, sweet sour ale, with a delicate palate. But it’s an impressive palate too, delivering a subtle but nuanced taste that shines even through the haze of rapid taster testing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours clear, golden color, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is pine and resin, with some floral notes, tar, and caramel. Sweet at first, with a strong, smooth bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a creamy, astringent mouthfeel. Solid, and clearly well made, but not my favorite.

355ml bottle, pours hazy bronze gold, small white head. Aroma is piney resin hop, grapefruit, apricot and hop spice. Medium body, oily texture, syrup caramel with good balance from the heavy hopping. Finish is long and bitter with a little spice.

12 oz bottle. A very hazy peach color. Short white soapy head. Aromas of oranges, nectarines, syrupy malts, grass, and tropical fruit juices. Nice level of bitterness that lingers. Juicy beer. Papaya, grapefruit, honey, and resin.

Bottle from Hippo Beers, Glasgow. Beer served in 12°C, Duvel Glass. Pours golden, with nice head and good lacing. Aroma is hoppy and malty, sweet malt smell mixed with pine, forest and citrus hints. Flavor is resin, blood orange, caramel and toffee. Great bitterness. Sweet and piney taste remains in the mouth. Overall fresh and enjoyable brew.
