7/24/09, courtesy of Guy, 22oz bomber. Light golden yellow with small yellowish white head, good retention. Big hoppy dry aroma of B.O., pine and citrus rinds, tinge of pale malt. Flavor is much the same with the same type of earthy bitterness as Duet, peaked at a 6, dry finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Very good, not much in the way of malts, as is with Alpine’s hoppy beer’s fashion. bvc (1244) - Washington, USA - NOV 28, 2009
22oz bottle from homebrew Colin. Clear ligh golden with a small white head. Nose has a nice grassy pine, with a great blast of fruit ...peach, grapefruit, orange. Great balanced hop flavor. Great resiny pine and rounded out with perfect amount of fruit withou being too sweet. Great stuff that I could drink a ton of. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - NOV 28, 2009

On tap at O’Briens pub. Golden clear in color with a thin white head. Nice lemon aromas. Mouthfeel is medium light with some decent carbonation. Solid bitter hops with just a touch of sweetness. Finish is on the drier side. and very smooth. A very good IPA that would love to have more of.

On tap at Obriens. Clear golden amber color, white head. Juicy hops, citrus, grapgruit, sweet malt, and some floral and resinous pine. Tasty IPA, pretty easy drinking. BrotherGrendel (787) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 7, 2009
On draft at Obriens. Light orange with thin head. Modest aroma of pine and grass. Taste is sweet, pale malt up front quickly followed by high hop bitterness and medium pine flavor. A solid IPA with good bitterness and high drinkability than most hoppy beers. Ibrew2or3 (8814) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - JUL 29, 2009
Courtesy of TampaBrew. Pours deep gold with thin white head. The aroma is big bold citrus goodness with oranges, tangelo and grapefruit mixing with a solid malty sweetness. The taste is refreshing with citrus hop flavor running slowly into hop bitterness and sweet malts in the background. I would have no problem drinking this every day. Another amazing SD-County IPA! gkost (1069) - Alaska, USA - JUL 19, 2009
Bottle. Pours gold with a medium tan head. Holy Pine forest! Loads and loads of pine, weed, citrus, grapefruit and some caramel lingering somewhere in there. Flavor is less hoppy than the nose. Nice balance of citrus, pine, herb and sweet malt. awaisanen (1310) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 27, 2009
From a 22oz Bottle. Also sampled from draft. Mostly transparent, pale gold colored body with a thin layer of fizzy white head. The last pour of the bottle brought out a few flecks of hop matter. Obviously no dry hops here. Dank aroma of piney hops. The draft version had quite a bit of onions and garlic going on, but the bottle seems to be much more piney with some pithy grapefruit. Clean, and very bold, hop-centric aroma. Light bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a crisp, dry finish. A mild, crackery malt flavor makes a brief appearance on the palate before the hops take over. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was 100% two-row. A clean, bold bitterness extends nicely through the duration of the palate, immediately puckering up the tongue and lasting well into the finish. Strong, high alpha, resinous hop flavors of pine and grapefruit. Very dry and drinkable. In some ways, almost too hop focused. I wouldn’t want it any "less dry", but a bit more of a malt presence could help soften up the aggressive hops. In addition, while assertively hoppy, some more hop complexity would be nice; this one is all high alpha bitterness and flavor. I guess that makes this somewhat of a definitive West Coast IPA and me somewhat of a wuss. Very clean, solid beer.
