On tap at Apex, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of piney hops, some floral notes, and crispy biscuity malt - sublime on the nose. Flavour is just as awesome, with loads of divine piney hops, resinous hops, and super crisp biscuity malt. Wow, is this fantastic. The hops are so pungent, yet with no astringency. Amazing IIPA. brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Dark orange color with a white head. Enormous citrus aroma. Pineapple, pine, grapefruit, and tangerine. Tropical fruits galore! Flavor is slightly sweet with tons of fruit. Peach, pineapple, melon, mango, grapefruit, and tangerine, just to name a few. Pine bitterness with some floral hops and very minimal malt flavor. DSG (14685) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 12, 2016
[1/27/16] Draught at City Beer in San Francisco. Cloudy orange. Great aroma of fruity, piney, and oniony hops. Flavor of fruity and oniony hops, moderately bitter. Medium-bodied. Very nice. Dogbrick (12936) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Sample at the brewpub (as Keene Idea). This beer pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, pine and sweet malt, along with some fruit in the background. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering piney hops aftertaste. Good beer all around. hopdog (12486) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 4, 2015
On tap at Alpine, Poured a hazy golden / orange color with a small sized head. Pine, citrus, and tropical fruits with lighter malts in the tastes ... IIPA that leans towards the hops!

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2012 8 oz flip-top growler... Clear golden ale with orange highlights and a small, flimsy, white head. The aroma is a medley of tropical fruits, melons, citrus fruits and musky hops with suggestions of orange blossom honey, pine, biscuit malt and rye. Medium to full-bodied and fatty with soft carbonation. The flavor is loaded with tropical fruits, melons and rye malt. Amazingly well-balanced. The relatively high abv is nearly undetectable; it’s only an afterthought. Finishes mildly bitter, sticky and grassy. Sparkling orange/gold color with a white head. Wow the aroma is a tropical fruit bomb! Tons of mango, some citrus, and a hint of malt in the back. Flavor is incredible! Loads of and loads of lychee, mango, bitter citrus hops, and a good malt dose to just balance this one amazingly well! BVery (10328) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Growler shared by Steasy - thanks! Clear golden orange pour with a white head. Huge tropical fruit and citrus. Slightly dank. A bit syrupy yet clean. Great beer! KyotoLefty (10207) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 15, 2012
Draught at toronado. Wonderful nose of rye, grass, chocolate, and bit N.S. hops. Orange amber with a low head. Big Nelson flavor, grass, white grapes, a bit of cat piss, plus chocolate and biscuits, spicy and grainy rye. A full and flavorful beer. Truly wonderful.

On tap at Toronado 25th anniversary party. Pours amber with a modest beige head and a fruity aroma. The flavor is also quite fruity, sort of like tropical fruit, with a dry more bitter finish. Quite well-balanced and very tasty, with no nasty alcohol aftertaste.
