COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Willy, named after my brother-in-law’s childhood nickname, is crisp and light-bodied, with a slightly sweet, nutty flavor. The hopping is mild and gentle. It’s perfect for times when you crave a beer utterly refreshing and low in alcohol. A true thirst quencher everyone enjoys. 1.047 OG 4 IBU 4.9%ABV

Disclaimer - I doubt this will ever be I style I could love, even though this brewery makes some of the world’s most wonderful beers. Got this in a trade with hamilton23 (thank you!). 22 oz bottle into a wizen glass. This beer poured a light yellow with a tiny white head which disappeared almost immediately. There was almost no lacing to speak of. The nose was wheat, yeast, and some lemon zest but very faint. Taste was similar, i.e. wheat, yeast and a tiny lemon tinge. There was little carbonation and the mouthfeel was very light. While not displeasing, this is the most forgettable beer from a great brewery. I have had 9 Alpine beers and this is the ONLY one I would pass on, if offered.

Bread crust, honey nose. Clear golden, thin head. Wheat bread, honey. Dandelion finish. Light body, easy carbonation. Refreshing, nice complimentary hop note.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run, 6/28/16. Hazy yellow, thin fizzy off-white head that quickly fades. Weak aroma of vanilla and wheat. The taste is strong vanilla, wheat, hints of orange, bubblegum, pineapple. Thin bodied, high carbonation. Close to a solid beer but it needs refinement.

Draught @ the brewpub, Alpine. Aroma is rather mild with some fruits. Flavour has minerals, mild fruitiness and peaches. Watery. And odd.

lusikka (7814) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 25, 2015
Draught @ Alpine Beer Co Pub, Alpine, CA. Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of grainy malts, fresh citrus and some herbal notes. Flavour of crisp citrusy hops, husky graininess, some yeast and very little citrus. Light bodied and a bit thin mouthfeel. Bright but thin.
